I'm becoming increasingly interested in PTH. Google tells me that amongst other things, hypoparathyroidism can make you vitamin D deficient and can be connected with fungal infections ex/ candida infections. It could be a red herring and I've had quite a few of those with POIS research but I'm going to delve into this a bit more.
It would be very interesting to hear if anyone else on this forum has a low PTH level.

Hey Hopeoneday. Nice chart  ;).
It would be good to see something like this but with a larger sample size because 6 people isn't enough.

…[POIS] will not be solved any time soon and…the cure may come after the death of many who are here on this forum, including me…

Robson, sad but probably true.

I was here at the start of our predecessor forum in 2007, and now I’m age 78 & still waiting! :(

Lifestyle Diary and POIS Summaries / Reality

Today, I came to the conclusion that this problem we have will not be solved any time soon and that the cure may come after the death of many who are here on this forum, including me.

After everything I have done for myself and always believing that I would find a definitive cure, I understood that it is not going to get anywhere. This is a life sentence!

Now, recently, I began to realize that the problem with P.O.I.S is in the pineal gland (amygdala).

The big problem may be that it works much more slowly after orgasm and certainly takes a long time to give the command to produce some hormones and substances such as taurine.

I don't know about others, but in me, I believe that what caused this to happen was that I lived my whole life constantly stressed and always on the alert for danger with constant anxiety and this made me take it all out on masturbation.

But, that is a story for another episode!

I just want to say that because the problem is in the pineal gland and science doesn't know much about it, we certainly won't find a definitive cure for all of this any time soon.
Hopefully, yes, but unfortunately, today reality hit me like a fall on concrete!

I discovered that a lot of us have neutropenia or near to it.
Nanna1 put it in table (it is rare), but not all poisers have it!

Thanks Hopeoneday for finding the neutropenia correlation!
Two last members posted low white blood tests-...According to mayo clinic-
https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/low-white-blood-cell-count/basics/causes/sym-20050615
...
The above chart shows the prevalence of low neutrophil levels (neutropenia) for individuals in the United States of America (USA) according to ethnicity (Hispanic 0.38%, white 0.79%, black 4.5%) and individuals with POIS (60%) from this forum. The data for neutropenia in the USA was taken from "Prevalence of neutropenia in the U.S. population: age, sex, smoking status, and ethnic differences."

From all medicall tests results posted till now, 80-90% of posers hawe
neutropenia or lower end neutrophils count, in healthy individuals it is exact
dioposite, neutrophils count should be the largest amoung other white blod cells.

I get POIS-like symptoms from water contact.

If I'm in the sun for a long time, exercising, or exposed to any heat contact I'll also get symptoms

I have high testosterone and normal prolactin levels. All sex hormones are in normal range. These were tested when I was healing / had just recently ejaculated.

My mom has Lupus and RA.

I had strep throat constantly as a child from ages 2-7. Was heavily on antibiotics in this timeframe

Some results:
Transferrin saturation was 75% (normal is  20.1 to 50%)
Tranferrin was 2.04 (normal is 2.01 to 3.8 g/l)
Iron was 40.1 (normal is 5.9 to 34.5 ?mol/l).
In previous tests my iron and ferritin levels have been normal, transferrin saturation is consistently high.

Re the haemochromatosis gene test, I don't know I'm afraid. My GP called me with the results at a bad moment and all I took in was that they were negative. I will try to find out and let you know Berlin.

POIS Research / Re: New POIS Survey from University of Chicago - Please fill it out!
« Last post by Sisyphus on November 21, 2024, 06:49:34 AM »
It's good that that University of Chicago are doing a survey. When it's been completed, will we get access to the results?
I think the more research the better but having said that....
I just don't think this is a very good survey. It's not well layed out, some of the questions are poorly expressed and it's not comprehensive enough.

imo If a few people on this forum were to put their heads together they'd come up with something much better than this university's survey.
