Congrats :-) They are definitely yummy and nutritious.
I recommend putting soy sauce instead of salt, makes the taste even nicer.
Thank you
Will surely try it

It's possible. I'm sensitive to egg white. Egg yolks, however, are no problem for me.
Hello muon
What symptoms do you experience with egg white

Fatigue
Is it so severe ?? Is it similar to brain fog ?? If this is similar to brain fog in POIS, then the fatigue may be due to POIS and not due to sensitivity to Egg white

No it is mild, but it adds to the some kind of load leading to symptoms, it is about minimizing triggers. POIS mode makes me more sensitive to food. I will try eating more egg yolks.

So, for researchers and poisers that may find this thread on eggs in the future, I want to add new finds after eating 6-10 eggs a day for some months.

- The benefits seem to be cumulative and increasing, as if it's the thing that my body has been desperately needing the most for years, even decades.

- All other supplements and vitamins don't seem to be as crucial as eggs are. Even niacin. I could stop all of them, eggs I can't.

- Great improvement in my overall well-being - physical and mental.

- The need to lay down and stay like that for an indefinite amount of time to 'rest', which I've called 'chronic fatigue', is gone.

- Waking up and getting out of bed, which has always been an extremely difficult part of my day, seems quite trivial now. I even, somehow, feel kind of thrilled for the day, which is a new thing to me. I guess that's how being healthy feels.

- Physical activities are less painful now. As I've already said in this thread, I'm sweating less and the urge to urinate every few minutes is just gone. Urge to drink water non-stop is gone too.

- I feel smarter, solving problems seems easier, I also have more patience to read long boring work-related tutorials, or watching boring long videos teaching some boring stuff that I have to learn due to my job.

- I've always had this inexplicable fat in my belly, I say inexplicable given the crazy amounts of effort I've put on my diet, sleep and physical activity routine for years, and I'd just sigh and attribute this to 'bad genetics', but now it's vanishing and my abs started to show for the first time in my life. And I'm far from the discipline I used to have some years ago.

- I've been using Strava to record my runs around my neighbourhood for years, and even though my training now has been inconsistent, far from my best compared to when I was training for multiple races before covid, I'm now reaching PRs almost daily effortlessly, and something strange happened a few days ago, there's a strava segment that's a short path uphill (0.402 km /0.25 miles), and I've always done this segment while on 160/170 bpm, but now I'm doing it in less 40 bpm (125 bpm). Long runs of two hours with 115-125 bpm, while before it was 150-160 bpm. I'm baffled.

- Picture from my Strava with data for this uphill segment below. Also all strava segments/runs now have this smoother heartbeat curve pattern now compared to before, I don't know what to make out of this, but the heartbeat curves seems to be steadier, more controlled, I believe that it's a good thing, given that I'm feeling much better.

Hello bellini
Happy to hear about your improvement. How many days of symptoms do you experience in pois before starting eggs ??

Hello muon
I used to have this type of fatigue with some medicines. But after eating eggs for more than 1 yr, i no longer feel fatigue with those medicines. I think your fatigue is related to pois and not eggs. I may be wrong but i wanted to share my thoughts.
Thanks

As far as I know, amino acids depletion may have meant problems with energy metabolism (e.g. a pathogen disrupting the normal pathways and the body emptying aminos to compensate) or gut issues (impacting absorption). Whatever the reason can be, amino acids supplementation caused a dramatic improvement of my POIS. More people in this forum may want to try a blood test as regards this issue.

I'm not saying you are wrong but in my mind malnourishment (as a cause) doesn't make sense if your symptoms come back the moment you stop consuming eggs. Prospero symptoms return the moment he stops taking amino acids. I wonder if the rate of a certain amino acid depletes relatively quick (maybe due to the rate of neurotransmitter depletion or defects of an obscure metabolism cycle?). You could try taking the same amino brand as he did. Stress should be avoided at all cost in my opinion (at least for myself, I'm too sensitive to it). Recently I found a combination of things that completely stops all my symptoms while also revealing the cause.

Its stupid but the simple answer was a combination of eggs + Ener-C (supplement).

I'm now eating eggs, 2 pasture raised ones every morning. I suspect that the torments of POIS caused my chronic insomnia and double vision/ ptosis which I've had for around 25 years now. Doctors could not diagnose the cause of the eye trouble, but said it is similar to myasthenia gravis which is caused by an acetylcholine problem. So I hope that eggs might help my issues over time. There are doctors that dispute that high cholesterol leads to heart disease, YouTube it.  I am chaste so POIS is just my history.

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I read that eggs won't raise blood levels of cholesterol unlike direct saturated fat from red meat. The whole cholesterol debate is interesting tho. I've chosen ultimately not to risk it, so I am currently experimenting with a low-cholesterol version of animal-based.

If you don't mind answering john, I thought you cured your POIS? Do you still experience symptoms and if so is that why you choose to be chaste?

Around 4 years ago I believed that POIS was gone following a bout of salmonella. It seemed like my digestive system was restored after taking some gut related supplements somehow resulting in no POIS. I suppose I should never make the "cured" claim but yes I did have success somehow. Over the last couple of years I have been mainly chaste except for the very occasional NE, so I don't really know.  I am chaste for religious reasons.
