Tested negative for HHV-1, HHV-2, EBV (HHV-4), CMV (HHV-5).
Tested positive for VZV (HHV-3).
Still waiting on HHV-6.

(...)

PS: I am going to summarise & share all of my blood work at some point, in a clear organised manner, so I can add it to the medical data listed here at POIS Center.

(emphasis mine)

I also tested positive for HHV-6. Result just came back today.

I did lab test of vitamine D3 and B12 today.
I must note here that i take 3000-4000UI of vitamine D3 a day
for last 1,5 year, did skin tanning all summer for vitamine D.

This results is pure evidence that "we all" hawe systemic
problems with vitamine D absorbtion, eg VDR receptors as genetics results
showed, or infection/toxins take place to our VDR receptors, gut problems
fat malabsorbtion, liver problems, kidneys problems...

B12   544,3   174-878
D3 22,13ng/ml 30-100ng/ml

Absorption issues OR our immune system is using it up more than normal because of POIS inflammation. Thus we have greater D3 needs than normal.

I personally feel best on 20,000iu per day and this is after testing 2000iu, 7000iu, and 14,000iu dosages respectively.

Dr Berg on YouTube has some interesting perspectives on D3 supplementation, the main ones being:
- Not all D3 you supplement is absorbed, from memory he stated it’s only 60-80%.
- Current RDAs for D3 is based on old data and information.
- 20,000iu feels like a lot, but when you convert it to mcg of D3, it’s 500mcg or 0.5mg

He thinks a maintenance dose should be between 10,000iu-20,000iu.

He also states that vitamin D3 toxicity is very similar to K2 deficiency. And that D3 toxicity is very rare. It’s very important to supplement K2 alongside D3 for these reasons.

I think everyone here should listen to their body with D3, and don’t be surprised if it likes higher dosages between 10,000-20,000. Obviously get your bloods done, and none of this is medical info. Follow at your own risk, I’m not a doctor.
Nothing I say is medical advice. Always do your own research. Follow anything I say at your own discretion.

I believe the cause is poor folate metabolism and poor choline metabolism due to genetic causes.
The medical tests that have flagged this are - fasting morning of and doing the following:
* RBC Folate (this is the long term 120day level of your blood cell methylfolate (methyl B9). I was on the low end of the normal range after a few weeks of supplementation.
* Serum Folic Acid (this is a test for your folic acid levels in your serum and is short term). I was above the normal ranges.

This signals that the folate metabolism is not effective at converting folic acid all the way to methylfolate.

Three weeks ago i had second mri and xray of my hip, knee and shoulde joints. According to my doc, I lost significant amount of cartilage in these joints. Every time i orgasm or get aroused, i get burning feeling in my joints along with all other symptoms.

Pois is damaging my joints and i have no choice but to see my body rotting away with time. All the time my joints make clicking sounds and pain is unbearable in hip joint# especially.

I've been diagnosed with ME/CFS. I'm stunned as I've always considered myself a pretty fit person! Just feel like huffing and puffing while in POIS!

I was diagnosed after a CT scan for the brain together with Neurospect.

I don't think it would influence my test results but just in case; I had 3 ejaculations in the 2 days before the scan test. Apparently there is no blood circulation in the front of my frontal lobe!

Blood test results
2 tests+: high testosterone, high SHBG, high prolactin, high progesterone, high creatinine, high bilirubin, high transferrin saturation, high MCH, low neutrophils, low WBC
1 test: high Apolipoprotein CIII, low C3, low PTH, low RBC, low hematocrit
I am willing to provide any of my health data for surveys and research.

Physiology and appearance
I am 179cm, 63kg. I have a skinny build. I have pale, yellowish skin, prominent veins, mild dermatitis on chest and back, orangey red face.

Diagnoses
(all current): Gilbert's syndrome, IBS, seborherric dermatitis, cystic acne, deviated septum, shoulder impingement, compression in lumbar spine, peripheral nerve problems
back problems
I had a back MRI which shows "wear and tear changes and a possible L5/S1 disc bulge that causes irritation on the left L5 root". I've amended my forum post from "compression" to "wear and tear" although I seem to remember the hospital consultant using the former term when he explained the result.

My second symptom was I got a fatty liver 4-5 times the normal range when this started so I don't consider liver as one of the key root causes of pois.

It's still not clear if POIS is an identifiable disease. From my personal experience and from what I've read, POIS is likely a symptom present in a wide number of conditions. For example, turns out I had cranial instability. Treatment for that fixed my POIS. Try to rule out as many other conditions as you can.
It could affect the vagus nerve.

EDS from NS forum

Low testosterone , hi estradiol, low t/shbg ratio, tpo hi ...

Hello everyone!

I tested Cortisol in the following manner:

15 minutes before ?O? at 10:00 pm ?       result = normal @ 0.4 (range 0.4 ? 1.0)
15 minutes after at 10:45pm ?          result = low @ 0.2 (range 1.2 ? 3.0)
The next morning - 9 hours after at 7:00 am ?    result = low @ 3.3 (range 3.7 ? 9.5)
The next evening - 23 hours after at 9:00 pm ?    result = low @ 0.1 (range 0.6 ? 1.9)

i know this post is a bit old but it seems there is an error.

second test line  is in the night or evening and range should be (0.4 - 1.0) or (0.6 - 1.9) and not noon ( 1.2 - 3.0)

what is NS forum ? i dont know it.

NS forum refers to the first ever internet thread on POIS, started in 2007 by John21, which was on the Naked Scientist forum (NS forum).  It is the ancestor of POISCenter.  But, it is only one very long single thread, with over 20000 posts in it , so not a forum with multiple boards and topics.  You can access it at https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=6576.0

The best way to navigate in it is to use a search engine like Google, using syntax like :
(Topic you want to know about) POIS site:http://thenakedscientists.com

example:

Brain fog POIS site:http://thenakedscientists.com

You will then have links to posts in the thread that mention "Brain fog"

It is better than browsing the 1011 pages of the thread !

Many members from there are still active here today, like Demografx, B_jim, and others :)

You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259

Searched for keywords but could not find the QST results of Kit inside this thread. Clicking on the quote header does not direct me to it. It might be removed.
My QST was abnormal. Here are my diagnoses after the QST:
  • Paresthesia of the skin
  • Segmental and somatic dysfunction of lumbar region
  • Segmental and somatic dysfunction of sacral region.

Basically, I have loss of sensation on my penis glans and on the left side of my penis shaft. My brain was unable to receive hot and cold temperatures from the tip of my penis, on both sides of my penis glans, and on the left side of my penis shaft. The sensation issue on my penis glans and the left side of my penis shaft does not seem to go away, even with abstinence.
