2 choices, choose wisely
« on: March 01, 2021, 10:05:57 AM »
Considering that all I see in this forum is people going round in circles.
The hard truth is we only really have two choices.

1st choice, continuous ejaculation = unhappy life.

2nd choice, completly stop ejaculation = happy life.

It is that simple.

Or maybe find out the root cause why we are having POIS while the majority of the people have never had any of those POIS symptoms?

Don't you think that the fact that when I was sick with this cold I was completely POIS free and that at the moment when I healed from that cold and relapsed all of those symptoms returned fully means that there is an underlying imbalance of some sorts causing all of those POIS symptoms for me in my case and therefore once fixed then all of those POIS symptoms would be gone permanently as well?

If you can find a scientist/doctor who is willing to dedicate their time, efforts and money into every symptom linked with pois....but I'm guessing not. I mean come on let's face it they cant even cure a common cold, they will never introduce a cure only a symptom reliever which over time will wear its effects.
Remember illness is a big money machine in this system. To be cured of something so complex in my eyes would be a miracle.
But as I say there is one simple way out. The toughest but most easiest choice of all.

I agree that its completely pointless hoping for a cure from the medical society. Its a correct observation that the Big Pharma has never present a cure for any of the more widespread degenerative diseases and they will never do that for sure, and of cource not for the more unknown disease pois. However I dont agree that we are going in circles, personally i have gone in a spiral towards better understanding of the syndrome and also learned how to mild the symptoms. Actually now I think im very close to finding a explanation and sollution that might be sufficient for many poisers, namely SIBO! Yep, its those bad bacterias in the gut that messes with the uptake up nutrients that are essential building blocks for hormones at the same time that you have a leaky gut that worsen the autoimmune inflammation. Of cource, stress is the underlying cause. However, it can be hard to restore a good gut health, and you have to determined. Stopping ejaculation is not a sollution for us who have nocturnal emissions. We will find the sollution here, many have already reported to be cured here, with diet changes and anti stress technics. All that cannot be done with a simple pharmaceutical pill, thats why the Big Pharma is on a dead-end with almost all diseases. We cant spend a dime on that kind of research.

2nd choice, completly stop ejaculation = happy life.

Not if you need to make your wife/gf/partner happy ;-)

(Exceptions are rare, e.g. if you want to live forever alone or have a completely asexual partner)

Agreed, and it isn?t as simple as just stopping ejaculation - if I am completely celibate but get accidentally aroused by something (ie a suggestive advertisement), it still triggers pois.

Would be nice if it were that easy.

Sorry, but it's a ridiculous statement for multiple reasons.

It's not a riduclous statement tbh if you want to function and get on with life then abstaining is a good thing. Sex isn't as important as modern day society makes it out to be, you will see that when you're having sex regularly that you won't even find it special or crave it compared to when you're not having any sex where it seems like sex is this amazing thing I'm missing out on that you need to have.

I don't think it's one or the other however, you can try many treatments/tests posted in here and try and find something that works. Personally don't rely on UK drs to get certain medications if you want to buy medical drugs you can easily buy off reputable offshore pharmacies online or maybe try something like DNRS/Gupta retraining programme.

The problem is that for many in the forum, including myself, there are more triggers than just sex.  Being accidentally aroused by something (advertisement, movie, book, arousing dream, regular intimacy with significant other, etc) will straight up ruin the next 5 days for me.

Even in abstinence, POIS lessens my quality of life significantly, so it isn?t just as easy for me and others as ?don?t have sex?.  I will continue to look for a cure/treatment.

Well said mate,
Life will show you what you need rather than what you want and desire.
Life doesnt always work out how you want it to, so acceptance has to be the key for the environment you are a custom to.

There are a few people in the forum that over react and think every minor thing is linked to ejaculation or some form close to it.

I've had pois since I was 14 and now I'm 38, so many years of experience, and in those years I've found that all the answers I ever needed sat within for a happy existence.

You only get one life.

Yes I am referring to POIS1982's situation rather than yours as it seems he only has problems from ejaculation.

When you get symptoms from arousal do you get pre cum that is causing the symptoms or do you not get pre cum and its purely the arousal causing the symptoms?

For me it can be purely arousal, unfortunately.

Tbh I think this specifically is just down to a mis-wired brain/limbic system I think you could fix it with DNRS or another non drug therapy.

I have done DNRS as well as therapy, and neither helped in the slightest.  If it was purely limbic system or in my head, Pepto Bismol wouldn?t have temporarily resolved my symptoms (this is an experiment I have tried several times, with the same result). I also don?t think it is helpful for folks on the forum to act like they have all the answers and diagnose others.  Your mileage may vary.

I think my response came out a bit more contentious than I had intended ? looking back I can see you are trying to help.  Long story short, DNRS and similar things have yielded no results for me.

DNRS and limbic system dysfunction doesn't imply this is all in your head, which makes me skeptical you even did the DNRS course. It can stop the release of stress hormones which then cause inflammation/immune dysfunction, and also repogram the brain to tell what is a threat and what isn't. Pepto bismol stops inflammation so really has nothing to do with whether limbic system is involved or not.

Yeah that's fair enough then I was just suggesting as the arousal/symptom problem in my opinion seem limbic system related to me. Obviously POIS is probably a combination of a number of things in all of us. eg: gut dysboisis, MCAS, posture issues, chronic infections, methylation issues and I think people underestimate the mind/body connection in these conditions. Sorry it didn't help you though.
