Two things, first and foremost, congratulations on barcelona's win yesterday, and your #10 with and excellent 2nd goal. Was a great game. Beat the "Poo" out of Manchester. The game was a pleasure to watch!

As far as 5htp you can do a google search " 5htp POIS site:http://www.thenakedscientistsforum.com "

Include everything between quotes
WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

After I took 5htp for the 1st time judging by my non Pois feel ( full of energy, ideas, self confidence, motivation) , I thought POIS is over, but on the contrary I never had worse  POIS. Was judged on bed for 5 days, last 3 days I didn?t felt real POIS symptoms, but I felt as bad,  I had 0 energy, 0 motivation, 0 strength, just wanted to sleep, also I felt dull headache, and my cognitive functions were extremely low, bad memory, brain fog, no concentration, no interest in anything, lack of breath, strong heartbeats etc etc. Don˙ remember that I ever was as useless, could not even go to the kitchen to eat, literally.
Awful experience.
no sugar diet helps me a tiny bit, also makes my mind much calmer in general. Sugar is definitely something my body does not handle well. Also I noticed that other inflammations like a hangover are better since I quit sugar. I avoid sweet fruits as well.

Increasing serotonin may decrease dopamine, I believe if you don't have depression or OCD it's better to stop taking serotonin increasing treatments.

Hi Nas,

I am sure you will understand that it would better to present your hypothesis in a more neutral form than a recommendation.  To avoid interference with medical treatments a member is under, or a treatment the member have chosen to try ( hopefully, under the supervision of a health professional), it is better to bring your hypothesis in a neutral way and refer the member to a health professional to see if this hypothesis would be helpful in taking a decision regarding his personal way of dealing with his POIS. This is also to avoid becoming responsible for unwanted problems ( for example, a member who would stop a prescribed medication, followed by bad consequences).  That is why there is a rule about not giving treatment recommendations on this forum  ( for those who want to read the forum rules, see the link in my signature).

Thanks for your understanding, Nas.
You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259

Thanks, Quantum. I think even MD’s shouldn’t make recommendations over the internet without having seen the patient.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
