Hello everyone, I've been dealing with POIS for the past 15 years. Initially, I didn't even realize it was POIS; I just noticed a decline in my quality of life. There were no flu-like symptoms, just a sense of decreased mental efficiency whenever I wasn't experiencing orgasms. I began experimenting with supplements like ashwagandha and shilajit, which initially helped, but over time, their effectiveness waned.

I also tried disciplined celibacy without any sexual desires, which was challenging but seemed to improve my symptoms. I tracked my progress using an app, gradually increasing the number of days I could resist orgasms. However, whenever I resumed orgasms to test my symptoms, they inevitably returned. I avoided allopathic medicines due to their side effects and focused on herbal remedies from Ayurveda and Vedic science.

My symptoms included cognitive issues like brain fog, difficulty concentrating, and reduced muscle memory. I supplemented with multivitamins and various herbs like shatavari, kaunch seed, ashwagandha, and safed musli, which helped alleviate some symptoms but didn't fully resolve my cognitive issues.

After years of experimentation, I concluded that POIS is not an autoimmune disease but rather a consequence of some DNA malfunction caused by early or excessive orgasmic activity. It tends to affect intelligent individuals with balanced hormone levels and high satisfaction desires. The cure involves disciplined celibacy practiced without any sexual desires, as described in Vedic texts.

Maintaining celibacy for a year can be challenging, but it's crucial for resetting the body's natural balance. Wet dreams are a natural part of this process and should not be viewed as a failure. While the initial months may be difficult, with headaches and mood swings, the long-term benefits are significant.

Psychological well-being is also essential in managing POIS. Maintaining a positive mindset can help regulate cortisol and adrenaline levels, reducing stress and its impact on symptoms.

For married individuals, medication may be an option, but for singles looking to address POIS at its root, strict adherence to disciplined celibacy and psychological resilience is key.

In conclusion, while medications may offer temporary relief, the true cure for POIS lies in disciplined celibacy practiced without any sexual desires and psychological well-being for 1 year straight. It's a challenging journey, but one that offers long-term benefits for those willing to commit to it.

How did you come to this conclusion? What is "high satisfaction desire"?

If you can't find anything medically to help with POIS symptoms, I agree a semen retention lifestyle is needed. Depending on what you can tolerate though, I would suggest exploring non-ejaculatory orgasms, non-ejaculatory sex, along with sexual energy transmutation practices. These practices can make it more sustainable long-term without completely depriving yourself of intimate and sexual experiences. They can actually deepen intamacy and sexual pleasure far more than a regular ejaculatory lifestyle.

For me personally, I intend on combining both. My protocol has had a huge impact on reducing symptoms, but overall I still feel most optimal when I modulate the amount I release.

To truly benefit from Nofap, one must maintain discipline and abstain from all sexual desires throughout the process. Simply practicing Nofap alone isn't sufficient; complete healing occurs when all sexual desires are disregarded, and the mind is liberated.

I arrived at this conclusion after trying various methods over 15 years. I learned about the practices of celibacy mentioned in ancient Indian texts, where even gods like Brahma and Indra sought rehabilitation through brahmacharya (celibacy). Inspired by this, I decided to give it a try, and the results were remarkable.

Many people may not realize that the differences in symptoms they attribute to different forms of POIS are actually variations in symptom intensity. For instance, if someone experiences the most severe symptoms, such as red, itchy, watery eyes initially, they may find that these symptoms begin to improve around the sixth or seventh month of celibacy permanently. Gradually, as they continue with celibacy, other symptoms like brain fog also diminish and eventually disappear entirely.

However, it's crucial to maintain celibacy consistently throughout the healing process. If celibacy is broken, one may need to restart the process from the beginning. During celibacy, individuals may experience a progression of symptoms similar to those described by different people in the forums, gradually moving from the most severe symptoms to complete healing.

I think this bullshit can be dangerous for anyone approaching the forum for the first time.
If I had been aware of this I would not have wasted two years of my life.
If you think about it, it is absolutely irrational that POIS is caused by habitual masturbation, even accompanied by porn, but I understand that the cruelty of this disease may require resorting to extreme solutions.
I remember that more than 90 percent of males use pornography on a daily basis and only a low percentage suffer from these symptoms and I can testify that up to the age of 19 I did not suffer from any post-orgasmic symptoms.

Yup I agree with Kosmo35. This sound like total BS that celibacy "heals" POIS. Celibacy fixes the POIS issue only to the extent of not triggering symptoms while you are celibate, which is fairly common sense.

Phoenix you say the results are "remarkable". Please explain exactly what results you have achieved after 1 year of celibacy. Can you now freely ejaculate as much as you want with zero symptoms?

Hey kosmo35, what I'm about to tell you isn't just some fluff. I've dedicated over a year to understanding celibacy, missing out on over 20 streaks just to grasp its essence. Mastering celibacy isn't an overnight feat; it's a journey of trial and error. Trust me, if you slip up or veer off track, you've got to start from square one.

I'm not implying you've wasted two years of your life, but there's a chance you may not have been doing it right. I've approached celibacy with the dedication of a saint, and let me tell you, it's incredibly challenging. It's a path less traveled, especially when there's a pill for every ill. Personally, I've sought natural remedies over medication.

In the initial phase, the first 1-7 days might feel normal, but expect some persistent brain fog for weeks. Gradually, you'll start feeling better, though there might be occasional mental haziness. It's around the one to two-month mark that you'll find stability, provided you strictly adhere to celibacy. The first-timers may even revel in a blissful two to three months, but brace yourself for frustration and aggression thereafter. It's a phase many struggle with, leading to strained relationships and a sense of wasted time. However, if you can manage your emotions and temper, you'll overcome it.

Headaches might rear their ugly head, typically lasting only 2-3 nights, signaling real healing. After a month or two, your sexual desires will resurface. It's crucial not to mistake this for complete recovery and relapse into old habits. It's about disciplining your mind, redirecting desires rather than suppressing them forcibly. Saints understand this art of redirection, and it's crucial to follow suit to avoid anger and frustration.

Remember, not everyone experiences symptoms in the same way. We're all psychologically distinct. While some may masturbate without consequences, it's not a universal truth. Personal experiences vary.

I'm not here for a paycheck; I stumbled upon this forum and shared my journey. It's not just about symptom relief; it's about shortening the recovery period. For instance, my recovery time reduced from over two weeks to just four days after a year of practice.

We're in 2024, where advancements happen daily, but not all solutions are foolproof. Take testosterone injections for POIS, for example. Initially promising, they later proved ineffective and even detrimental, causing infertility in some cases. Similarly, sugar-free alternatives like zero-sugar drinks have their downsides, with links to cancer emerging in research.

My method isn't a quick fix; it's a life-changing journey I've honed over 15 years of experimentation. I'm not urging you to follow suit, just sharing what worked for me. We live on a tiny fraction of this vast planet, and what appears flat and unending isn't necessarily so. The moral here? Perspective is key. Embrace the challenge, and you'll transform not just your POIS but your entire life.

I’m now 78, and my testosterone injections have been
anti-POIS-effective since the year 2009. Yes, they caused my infertility, but it doesn’t matter, I already had some wonderful children, now adults. And endocrinologists told me there are other ways around the infertility problem.
