Improvements in POIS symptoms taking Vitamin D3 & Magnesium

Hi, it's been a while since I do not post.

I heard about the benefits of taking vitamin D3 & magnesium together to aliviate anxiety symptoms. I took a chance, since my first diagnosis by a psyquiatrist was that I suffered anxiety after orgasm, 20 years ago. But the pills he gave for anxiety (clonazepam, escitalopram and risperidone) did not work when I had an orgasm, so for years I ignored this diagnosis.

Well, started taking 250mg of magnesium + 400IU of vitamin D3 a couple of months ago and after orgasm I feel way better of what its meant to be POIS but I now believe is a rare case of severe anxiety. I now take 750mg magnesium + 800UI of vitamin D3. I am not a doctor, but I've read its in the normal range.

I can do a normal day, only feeling a bit strange and hot inside, plus a little tired the second day. As always been my case, symptoms disappear after two days.

I strongly recommend the intake of both supplements, since my experience has been very positive and has slashed most of my typical symptoms after orgasm (cold and hot rashes, chills, weakness, dry skin and eyes, social phobia and generalized disconfort).

I'm with nana1s herpes induced pois theory,
vit d , c , Zink magnesium also helps me too,
it maybe latent Virus,
Maybe herpes as Aciclovir totally removes mine brainfog if taken 400mg bfr orgasm and 200 / 200mg at evening or night,

I would look into the following further nutrients if you felt better after D3 & magnesium: B complex vitamins, choline/eggs, SAM-e, vitamin C, zinc

I am currently attempting a detox of clonazepam, escitalopram and risperidone. After I conclude with them I will try your way.
Please let me know if I can follow your steps regarding the nutrients you did take.

It is winter and cold here in Chile in june, and my symptoms have appeared again. Think this magnesium and vitamin D thing works only on hot weather, because I'm struggling during winter with my POIS symptoms unfortunately.

800iu of D3 is too little man. 400iu is laughable. I'm not a doctor so I can't give you any medical advice. But you would benefit by doing your own research into how many chronic diseases do better on high serum levels (and thus higher amounts of supplemental D3). I need to take about 7,000-21,000iu daily to maintain D3 in optimal range. POIS depletes D3. If you feel worst in winter, then it's a good sign your D3 is way too low. Doctors conventional range is generally not optimal for patients with inflammatory diseases.

I think the optimal range of D3 for POIS is going to be no lower than 50ng/mL, possibly higher, I don't know. I haven't identified my personal optimal serum range yet, but I do know that I do better on dosages between 7,000 to 21,000.

There are some risks with high serum D3 levels that you need to educate yourself about, but this is mostly mitigated with taking K2 with D3. But again do your own research and form your own opinion!
