L-Carnosine for PE ?
« on: July 22, 2022, 05:16:33 PM »
(moved from another thread)

I have news.  First of all - my POIS has been minimal since my gut-related efforts (see Mastic Gum, etc). After this success I was perplexed when it resurfaced, although only in a small manner. After considering the idea of hyperammonia I decided to try a few different supplements and eventually I tried l-carnosine. Now something is totally eliminating my premature ejaculation! I think that PE is a common thing that many on this forum share so this might be very significant to others. Also, following O I had zero POIS symptoms. The first time I took one single 250mg capsule.  I found that the effect lasts for days and even builds up as time goes on.  It has a antidepressant-like effect on me in that I don't feel quite normal on it yet it is not entirely unpleasant. The second time I tried it I took half a capsule (by separating the powder) and it had a similar effect. Again, PE was completely gone and the effect lasted for days. It affects my sleep in that I am able to sleep better but perhaps the sleep is not as deep and refreshing.  I have no idea why this might be having this effect, the ammonia idea might be nowhere close to what is happening, but the effect is very profound. I have had severe PE for as long as I can remember! I have never been able to have what I would consider "normal" sex. I am wondering if in my early teens I messed up my development by masturbating too early and intensely, and that carnosine helps restore balance somehow. This is huge for me, I hope others can consider and perhaps benefit from it! It is possible that something else I have tried has made the difference but my best bet is the carnosine.

I tried it again and once again I had success. I took a half dose and after waiting more than 24 hours I had no PE.

Correlation is not causation but it is reason for consideration.

I've been trying 500mg to 1g of L-Carnosine per day, but can't say I've noticed any change to my symptoms. Then again, I have CFS in addition to POIS, so even if I abstain my symptoms are pretty bad.

There is another possible factor in my lack of PE/Pois. At the same time as I was trying L-Carnosine I was also using virgin coconut oil as a sexual lubricant. Coconut oil has anti-fungal properties. I am wondering if the oil acted as a fungicide in the groin area to counteract a hidden fungal infection.  Could PE and/or Pois be caused by a sub-clinical (no rash) fungal infection of the groin? I suggest that others try some applications to test the theory. Just be careful as leaving the oil on for a while can be messy. You might want a garbage bag under your bed sheet if you do an overnight application.

I have been POIS free for a while now but can't tell what the real cause is; What i do know is that i used to suffer from fungal infections a lot, they would cause balanitis again and again. Since I'm POIS free, no such thing anymore and much less of a white tongue.

Possible reasons I see for my improvement: I tried the mastic gum + oregano oil option others described on this forum; i changed my toothpaste to a natural one with charcoal (which gave me a much cleaner mouth => link with cleaner tongue), I used natural testosterone enhancers (the ones you buy at bodybuilders shopts). If my memory is correct, the last ones (testosterone) I started using after pois was already starting to get better: so the first two seem the more important ones.

I orgasm almost 3x/week to almost daily now without any POIS-symptoms and this already for 8 months or so. Still don't know what did help and still expecting it to come back one day, but this hasn't happened yet.

i forgot to mention in the list of possible factors that got me rid of pois for 8 months now the supplmentation with Lion's Mane.
My best guess is that it is the combination of mastic gum + oregano oil + lion's mane.... but it remains hard to ascertain.

Congrats :-)

Could you go into detail about the "natural testosterone enhancers"?

@berlin1984, I shouldn't have mentionned them: i'm quite sure it's not them that helped me: i have been taking a while these T-boosters you find in any bodybuilders shop. For me it is the mastic gum+oregano oil+lion's mane that made the difference; before i was already getting my symptoms seriiously diminished with antihistamines.

It is rather sad that hardly anyone tries or reports about such a potential cure. I had relatively good success with all of these individually, so I have high expectations for such a powerful combo. When I finish my short trials, if ever, then this is going to be the first on my list. I will certainly report my findings whatever the outcome, but it may take as much as a year to get to this point, as I still have about one hundred supplements that need to be tested. Those who just want to live a normal life and not giving this a chance are missing out on a great opportunity to get well. Now there is even a model that could explain how this works, but do we really need an explanation just to cure ourselves?

The cause is probably the senescence of sexual organs and resultant inducible SASP, which also acts as a kind of non-diabetic metabolic syndrome.
