Unusual POIS conditions
« on: November 12, 2021, 03:05:21 AM »
Hi,

I'm convinced that my health condition is POIS-related, albeit not the "generic" POIS - whatever that means. I've been continuously sick for over 1 year now, doctors haven't been able to find anything unusual (though I'm still awaiting certain tests with an endocrinologist), so that I've been avoiding most social interactions and pausing my university studies for this semester. Surely most of the members here have it even worse than me but that was at least a summary of my struggles.

So I would be grateful if you could be pointing me to threads where similar conditions as mine have been mentioned, so I could read more about their attempts because frankly the search bar doesn't yield many similar conditions for me.

- My main symptoms are coughing, mucus in throat, hot skin, brain fog, weakness. Sometimes my back will feel tingly or my chest would hurt. I can not find many report with the first three symptoms here.
- It seems that some orgasms affect me differently than others. While after certain ones, I barely feel noticeably worse than before, others hit me hard. I'm unable to detect any logical context for when which will happen.
- Most importantly, I haven't been able to get out of the infamous POIS state. So I've been "inside" for over a year, even though some days do feel better than others. From my understanding, most people deal with problems for about 1 week after orgasm but this doesn't seem to be the case for me. I remember times when I abstained for a month but my health randomly got worse after 1-2 weeks without any reason. Then, there were times when I would orgasm daily for a week but wouldn't feel noticeably worse. In particular, I don't expect the niacin trick that many people here employ will work for me, since I haven't been able to get into a normal state.
- On the other hand, I am certain that orgasms appear to be a trigger, albeit some more than others.

I've of course read a lot here and am thankful for the existence of the entire community.

Yet, I've had a hard time finding posts relating a similar experience to mine. If you know of any posts/people who share any of the about keypoints, please share them with me. I'd be happy for any other comments as well.

Thank you for reading.

Hi PQ!

Welcome to the forum. The thread "Lifestyle Diary and POIS Summaries" contain personal POIS experiences. Try dig there! Personally I belive that stress, frequent orgasms and decreased gut-helath is very central for developing long term POIS symptoms.
