I tried an SSRI for a day.  I experienced a very severe headache (the likes I have never seen), so I stopped.  You can try an SNRI and even better a dopamine agonist like Vyvanse (that I take), and I bet you'd be thanking me for the euphoria :).

So about the Methylation, here are my results:
MTRR  rs1801394(G;G) --> increased risk for hyper-homocystenemia and abnormal choline metabolism
MTHFD1 rs2236225(C;T) --> requires increased choline intake beyond.
My MTHFR is normal: rs1801131(A;C), rs1801133(C;C)

Does this mean I am under-methylator?

Thanks millstone. I'm going to pass on the SSRI for now. I'll see if he can offer any other options.

I had same headache and i dont toletate any serotonergic drug. They cause fogginess and headache
POIS of 10 yrs now

  • Use Adaptogens and Antioxidants, they can help.

Saw this by coincidence, interesting that an Amazon reviewer mentions POIS:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1FHPYXY2UADAH/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B002R3G8BS

(Personal opinion: MTHFR is only a small part of POIS and maybe only for a certain subset, there is many other things in play regarding vitamins, gut bacteria, hormones, genes, ...)

EDIT: Interesting: https://me-pedia.org/wiki/Methylation_cycle_hypothesis

My MTHFR and overall methylation-related genome do not show anything serious, although not perfect.  My problem is not there, clearly.  As you say, it may be important for a subset of POIS cases, but not all cases.
