Hi ALL,

I haven't been on this forum for a very long time. For those who don't know me, I will quickly say that I have had severe POIS for more than 30 years. I learnt that taking progesterone and Mytelase significantly reduced my symptoms. I knew that the stimulation of the vagus nerve through taking Mytelase could at time completely stop the POIS cycle. However, there were complications which I shared on another thread. Anyhow long story short I watched documentary on Iceman and started to do his basic breathing technique. I have been doing the it now for 5 months.

We have a three month rule for sharing positive new (for the placebo effect to where off).

There are many free vids online and you don't need spend any money to learn the method. I have learnt to significantly to stimulate the vagus nerve (this suppress the immune system). Quick guide steps:

1) Lie down on your back. Take 30 breathes inhaling as much as you can then exhaling gently increasing the amounts going in and out
2) On the last breath empty the lungs about 75% out then hold your breath for as long as you can.
3) Once you can't hold you breath anymore then inhale as much as you can and hold the breath. tense your body like you are going to the toilet (No.2) then gently move the breath to the neck and hold it there for about ten seconds (not try to do this for as long as you can).
4) Relax and enjoy for a couple of minutes
5) Repeat steps 1-4 three times over

I found I was able to increase holding my breath a lot from 1 to 3 minutes long.

My POIS is now at least 50% gone. I think it is getting less and less every day. This has been a life changing experience me and I share it with you in the hope you can get some good results.

In order to help you make progress as quick as possible I would say reduce shooting. I believe trauma is held in the vagus nerve and it needs to come out in an inflammation free environment.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Hi Floppy,
How would you say Mytelase was effective for you? I'm trying Mestenon currently and I'm new to the Choline type treatment.
And how about your cognitive symptoms how much has it helped you ?

Hi Nas,

I have tried Mestinon as well. It is similar to Mytelase. I would recommend doing the breathing technique an hour after taking half a Mestinon. I don't need need to take Ach blockers anymore although sometimes I take half a tablet.

That's really amazing.

I can confirm that I have been able to reduce my POIS symptoms after doing special breathing exercises,  sometimes in a really positive way. That does not mean that I have just eliminated the use of niacin completely.

It seems really promising, I would like to practise it and will surely inform some POIS sufferers that I personally know.

Thanks FB on posting this, i remeber times that i sucesifuly incrised my oweral
health by folowing videos like this , with brething excercise, meditation,
cold showers,  autosugestion(helped most of them).
With this thing i mention up, i was manage signisifcly my cardiovacular health(POTS), and CFS, and with all this manage pois much better.
But in that time unfortuntly i newer manage to go 100% no mater how much i try.
But pois in my case bring me so much bad luck in life, no mater how powerful i fight in life to make things wright, pois allfucxingways bring me bad luck in life(pois is so negative energy that i cant describe and put on paper, its like coming from satan to destroying your life, and destroy ewrithing good you make).  .
All that bring me back again with sewere CFG, exercise intolerante, bad pots, severe pois, destroyed nervos sistem from pois, MGrawis symptomes , respiratory colapsing, etc, etc.
But now i am again on road to beat thes illnes ;)

Fb- did you ewer tried huperzin a?

Your second part is interesting. It wouldn't hurt to try it before the Orgasm and watch how POIS symptoms might evolve.

It could also be a tool to test the vagus nerve theory.

I have done it today (didn't have any O. but I am feeling over the edge about an important test I have to do by the end of next week) and it helped me a lot. I also took a cold shower after that and I think it has been great.

From now on, it could be interesting for me to try it and build up a routine.

Yes, you seem to react to some type of foods. Those which are low sugar/carbs content are normally good for us in a POIS episode, I guess these are ones you are having a positive response to.

I have looked for more info regarding "Mr. Iceman" and it seems a study has been performed on him by a Dutch university. They even published a research paper which can be read at:

And yep, you guessed right. The study contains a lot of key-words that show up: HRV (Heart Rate Variability), Vagus Nerve, epinephrine, norepinephrine, catecholamines, excessive inflammatory response, auto-immune, autonomic nervous system...

I think the article deserves to be read in a calm way. I'll be doing it during the next weeks.

Mr. Iceman claims that he is able to control his vagus nerve and the immune response. So far, the analysis showed remarkable differences between him/his students and the control group.

Ameyzing, he can control his body with his mind to celular lewel, scietists tougth that is not posible, but he is proved that it is.
In his two hours in ice, he programing his body metabolism by 300% its like you runing wihouth moving, an teperature under ice 3,7 degree id the roow flat.
They put bacteria in his weins, and he no imune rection at all( yust by mindset).Ameyzing.
Yust this part i do not get(whot hapend to those bacteria if his imune system didnt eat them?).
He prowed to science that autonomic nervos sistem can be controled by his mind.(Science clamed that this isnt posible at all.)
And he prowed that enebody can do that.
If some of us suscesfuly learn this metod, i think that could be enormes help for pois, ewan posible cure for pois.

It answer to questions in the thread:
1) I do do this breathing technique every day. It's a way to forcefully engage the para-sympathetic nervous system
2) I do extra intensively two days after O (when your body body starts tingling all over it is good)
3) I notice that some permanent changes in my body. Also, sometimes now I just take three breathes and tension deep within my abdomen releases. It is very pleasant to experience
4) I should have mentioned in my original thread; I now take 80% less medication per POIS cycle

I know this is difficult but try to not O too much as it will set back your progress. Don't watch degenerate stuff like porn. Actually I found that doing the method reduces "sexual tension" and desire can more easily be removed. The cold definitely has healing powers if you can accept it and build upon exposure to it. I have tried electronically stimulating the vagus nerve and did have some mild positive response but this method far exceeds (in my opinion) what can achieved via transcutaneous stimulation of the vagus nerve.

Hi Floppy, this sounds great.

One question: when you say "hold your breath for as long as you can", do you mean that you stop holding your breath before it becomes uncomfortable, or right at the point where you feel it is necessary to breathe immediately?

Is it due to the blood and oxygen rushing through my brain or is it because of the lactic acid building up or is it something else? Maybe one of you have some ideas you could share with me on why this happens. I also get the same effects in cold and hot showers.

Might be because of jaw tension. Jaw tension and speech do not go together very well. Cold can induce jaw tension.
