Doctors in Australia (Sydney)
« on: May 15, 2018, 08:29:19 AM »
Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyway from Sydney knows of any doctors who are willing to perform "Hyposensitisation Therapy"? I have been suffering from POIS for a number of years now and would like to make the first step to get treatment.

Anyway, I would be very grateful to anyone out there who can provide a contact in Sydney.

Thank you :)

My personal feeling is that desensitization is too dangerous.

And unproven.

Maybe others think differently.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Hi W7721,

Currently, desensitization therapy with own semen have been dropped by all doctors, even by the one who have created this technique ( Dr Marcel Waldinger).  In 10 years of use, there is not much success with this method, maybe one or two members here had success with it.  I think you would have a very hard time to find a Doctor willing to try this on yourself.   There is a Korean team who have tried a newer type of desens on one patient, but the results where not very impressive, only one symptoms ( rhinitis) have really responded to the treatment, but no significant relief for the other POIS symptoms.

About Doctors who knows about POIS, you are very lucky,  My POIS doctors list is very short, but there is one from Sydney in it, Dr Michael Lowy,  see at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2575.msg23825#msg23825 .   If you ever meet him, please give us a feedback here on the forum.      2023-12 Update, Dr Lowy is now retired

Hi W7721,

I hope you're still on this forum (especially if POIS is still an issue for you). I just read that you are in Australia. I'm keen to know if others benefit from a specific preventative pack (B3 and matcha powder). It uses products available readily in Australia.

In Sydney, try Dr. Rob King. Men's doctor. Knows about POIS and is also an integrative MD.
