Gather and Post Here Your Medical Tests Results
« on: April 30, 2018, 05:36:19 PM »
Hello everyone,

I am starting a new thread on behalf of the mod's team so you can post factual and real data from your analysis and tests (blood,. We would like to thank Muon for his advice, as we think it would be easiers for us and future researchers to compile data about the syndrome.

In this way, I would like to remember everyone who is in touch with doctors or medical institutions to let them know about our RFP. Without it, we would not be able to start a new research about POIS.

I will be selecting the info on the forum and adding more resources in the coming days.

Very Important Update:

FROM NOW ON, ANY DISCUSSION ABOUT THE RESULTS SHOWN ON THIS THREAD WILL BE DONE IN THE FOLLOWING THREAD:

Thanks Nas for sharing these results.

Emirnazim had a Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) performed on him and he also shared his results:

----------------------------------------------------------

this EEG og EMIR , 26 years old , was recorded by MITSAR amplifier (19 channel) and CLINICAL Q assessment in three conditions :  Eye closed , Eyes open , and during cognitive challenge . the findings were following  :

1- his EEG was LOW VOLTAGE . this pattern is not necessarily abnormal  (however ,question about alcohol consumption).
Hence , relative power rather than absolute power must be interpreted .

2- ALPHA   blocking was not observed  .Alpha power was low especially at posterior site .

3- Alpha Peak  frequency was also  LOW at  Cz.

4- THETA/BETA  ratio was LOW in both  EO and  EC conditions at  O1.

5- Percentage pf Theta /Beta ratio from EO to EC was LOW .

6- Theta/SMR ratio is HIGH  at Cz .

7-HIGH BETA/BETA ratio  is HIGH at  Fz.

Abovementioned  patterns  are correlated to :   Mental Sluggishness , Visual memory problems ,sleep difficulties , probe for poor stress tolerance ,  '' RACING'' thoughts , anxiety , inefficient self-quieting , OC tendencies , inability to sit still or quiet body , busy brain .

Neurofeedback + Cognitive  training is recommended .

At least 2 members have reported higher than normal levels of 17-alpha-OH-progesterone ( members Crushgrapes and Investigator).  See this thread: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2532.msg21904#msg21904 .

( note:  I have not been tested for 17-OHP, so I am not reporting about myself, here)

In general my hormone test result are normal the only thing is my total testosterone tend to be in lower end of range and estrogen in higher end of range. I believe this is because of my weight. My ACTH was abnormal though.
I remember doing white blood cells count test with my GP, most of those where normal, few were below normal but none were above normal. I do not have these results anymore.  All these test were done while i was in POIS.

Hi fellow POISmen,

I am posting my medical data in a dropbox folder link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nobyoc7ujjy5114/AAC_x5-gEf0cSy9GvjEWfn88a?dl=0

Summary of RESULTS that are ABNORMAL:
 - High Prolactin - 25 ng/ml (2.7 - 16.9)
 - Low Testosterone - 240 ng/ml (300 - 1100) (The lab I used had different, broader referential values, likely due to the fact that its a public health service trying to cut costs)
 - High Cortisol - 640 nmol/L (133 - 537) (The lab I used had different, broader referential values, likely due to the fact that its a public health service trying to cut costs)
 - Mycoplasma Pneumoniae detected using Indirect Immunofluorescent Assay - I had no symptoms of pneumonia though. Treating it currently.
 - Haemophilus Influenza non-B detected using Multiplex Real Time Assay - Treated it successfully while brain fog and POIS still persist.
 - Iron Deficiency - 8.5 umol/L (10.60 - 28.30) - Treated it while POIS, Brain fog and fatigue still persist.
 - Low Monocyte Count - 0.13 10*9mm/h (0.20 - 1.001)
 - Low Neutrophil Count - 1.96 10*9mm/h (2.00 - 7.501)
 - Albumin - 53 g/L (34 - 50) - Not sure how to interpret this, doctor said its no big deal.

Summary of RESULTS that are NORMAL:
 - HIV - Negative
 - Gonorrhoea - Negative
 - Lyme - Negative
 - Chlamydia - Negative
 - Hepatitis A,B,C - Negative
 - Liver Normal
 - Faecal Calprotectin - Normal
 - Helicobacter Pylory - Normal
 - B12 - 402 pg/mL (197 - 771)
 - Folate - 5.6 ng/mL (2.90 - 26.8)
 - Parietal cell autoantibodies - Negative
 - Anti smooth muscle autoantibodies - Negative
 - Antimitochondrial autoantibodies - Negative
 - Thyroid TSH - 2.11 mIU/L (0.27 - 4.20)
 - Thyroid free T4 - 16.2 pmol/L (12.0 - 22.0)
 - Brain MRI - Normal
 - Brain EEG - Normal

I will update the more tests/results I do/get.
Also check my posts regarding my case.

EDIT 1: Forgot to add that my folate is within the range, however, it is quite low. My diet does include sources of folate, its plentiful of veggies, so I am not sure what could be the cause. It could be that the infection was causing using it up and decreasing it, but I will need to see how this theory is going to work out once I treat my infection.

- slightly lowered kidney function (checked regularly)

Notes: The earliest tests for with high creatinine are from 2003. I don't have earlier tests for creatinine. POIS started between 2003 and 2005. I cannot rule out a relationship. Low Neutrophils go back also to 2003. Again, I don't have earlier test results, and thus cannot rule out a connection to POIS.
Used to have brain fog, flue-like symptoms, un-refreshing sleep, extreme exhaustion, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, social anxiety, urge to urinate frequently.
Used niacin in the past. Now using nanna1's maintenance stack. Exhaustion and brain fog now main problem. 3-day POIS cycle

A guy on Reddit named Homelius (https://www.reddit.com/user/Homelius) Posted his DNA test results: https://imgur.com/a/itzdrLg
It shows poor Methylation. Not sure if it correlates at all with POIS but it's a test never the less.

I have had a lot of tests, I will just post what is abnormal and relevant. Everything worsened a lot after taking an antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin so I guess it is related to gut bacteria. See my thread here for more information:

http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2775.0

Amyloidosis (No indication of this disease)
Serum Free Kappa Light Chains 14.1 mg/l (3.3 -19.4)
Serum Free Lambda Light Chain 13.4 mg/l (5.71 - 26.3)
Serum Free Kappa/Lamda Ratio 1.05 (0.26 - 1.65) Please note in patients with low GFR (<15) the K:L ratio normal range changes to 0.37 - 3.1

Vitamins/Minerals
Tested most vitamins and all found to be within range.
Homocysteine was tested twice, first was 15.10 umol/L and then a week later was 13.70 umol/L (ref <15), suggests B12 is bit low.
Whole blood tests for minerals were within range except Manganese was a bit low.

Bone Tests:
Osteocalcin * 48.7 ug/L 9.0 - 40.0
Beta-CTx (Crosslaps-Serum DPD) * 1.21 ng/ml < 0.58

16S Microbiome test from Atlas Biomed (I don't have any printout of results, they are visible in a webpage with diagrams, so I can't post all of it)
- I am missing a number of important butyrate-producing bacteria such as faecalibacterium, roseburia, coprococcus, akkermansia. I also have very low eubacterium.
- I am also missing a non-butyrate bacteria called Lactobacillus.
- Bifidobacteria is about 2.4%.

Butyrate maintains the gut lining, it also produces regulatory immune cells that prevent autoimmune disease. People with Celiac disease and IBS have been found to have low butyrate bacteria. I think when we orgasm, oxidative stress rises and our butyrate bacteria cannot produce enough butyrate to suppress it so we get damage to the body.

Immune
Lymphocytes CD3, CD4, CD8 all normal.
Interleukins 1B, 2, 6, 8, 10, TNF, CRP, ESR all normal.

EBV IGG/IGM - Neg
HHV6 - Possibly latent past infection or negative, the lab couldn't decide. Very low titre.
VZV - IGM is negative, I have had chicken pox as a child so would assume IGG shows latent virus.

Hair Analysis
Very high Aluminium and Zirconium levels - Report suggested that deodorant caused this.

What has possibly helped
It's difficult to pinpoint things when you gradually improve over time.
- I've taken many single-strain probiotics, Lactobacillus species seem most helpful. Plantarum 299v, Lindens Pro Bio Live Max, BioGaia. I don't find probiotics reliable though, they only work sometimes.
- Sovereign Labs Colostrum LD (Vanilla flavour) may have helped.
- Allicin Max (The one with the UK flag on the front)
- Thorne Molybdenum Glycinate
- Maybe some standard B6 (not the active P5P form)
- Now L-Lysine powder (not the capsules but the pure powder)
- Doctor's Best Sam-e (Avoid the Jarrow brand, it seems to damage my digestive system)

Comment
Mitochondrial dysfunction? Gut Dysbiosis? Shame the medical profession have no interest in helping me, this illness has completely ruined my life.

low testosterone, liwer enzaym hi, he olso have glucose probl,
Hi tsh

The results from this blood test are:
Testosterone : Very low - 5.8 (minimum threshold of 8.0)
although increased from last time because I took this test in
the morning as overnight fasting was needed for the glucose test
Blood Glucose : High - 7.0 (max threshold of 6.0 for fasting)
Liver enzymes : High (dont know the values)
Thyroid : Normal (dont know the values)
 high TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone)

Simulacrum
Low testosterone hi estradiol, high tsh, neurotransmiters low

Diagnosed for subclinical hypotharoisam -high tsh, normal t3 and t4 levels
subclinical hypotharoisam.

Last week I had my total testosterone, free testosterone,
 and estradiol checked.
My total testosterone and free testosterone are all significantly low,
 and I am estrogen dominant.

Had neurotransmitter tests done a couple weeks ago,
and it stated that my norepinephrine, epinephrine, GABA, pea, glutamate, dopamine,
and serotonin were all low and below the normal 'feel good' range.

I yust got back from my doctors today after taking some blood work.

According to the tests, I'm at an extremely low level of testosterone.
259 L when he told me it should be around 800 for my age - I'm 21.

Green

Investigator.

low white blod cels.

My doctor, looking at a bunch of lab tests, told me,
among other things, that my white blood cells are alittle low - for that,
it is better to be at cold temperatures,
this increases the amount of white blood cells.

Abnormal Tests:

1.- Discarded celiac disease by duodenal biopsy in 2015 and 2018.

2.- antibodies related with celiac disease:
anti tTG + anti DPG (IgA+IgG):
       ? september 2015: 39.1 (positive)
       ? march 2016: 128 (positive)
       ? march 2018: 234 (positive)
3.- anti DPG IgA 12 U/ml (positive in march 2018, previously negative).

4.- Genetic analysis of celiac disease:
     Antigen histocompatibility HLA DQ2 negative:
      DQ2 Negative
Not detected alleles conferring risk of celiac disease
   HLA-DQA1*0501: Negative
   HLA-DQA1*0201: Negative

   HLA-DQB1*0201: Negative
   HLA-DQB1*0202: Negative

     Antigen histocompatibility HLA DQ8 negative:
      DQ8 Negative
Not detected alleles conferring risk of celiac disease
   HLA-DQA1*03.   : Negative
   HLA-DQB1*0302: Negative

3.- Ferritin 424 ng/ml (30.0-300.0) out of range (march 2018)

4.- Kidney function sometimes out of range (not always)
Creatinine 1.34 mg/dl (0.6-1.2).
Last Creatinine 1.07 mg/dl (august 2018).
also some hematuria in urine.

5.- Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the entire spine(June 2018):
multiple focal lesions were observed in the dorsal and lumbar spine, hyperintense in T2 and most of them isointense in T1, although the larger lesions have a trabecular structure suggesting that they are hemangiomas. However, given that the signal characteristics in the T1 sequence are not typical of hemangioma, it is recommended to do image control to assess evolution.

6.- Pelvic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (March 2018):
prostate of conserved size showing some slight hyperintense areas in the peripheral region predominantly in third that could be suggestive of slight post-prostatitis changes. There are no suspicious lesions of malignancy in the prostate. Seminal vesicle without alterations. Perineal region without significant alterations.

7.- Insulin antibodies(May 2018):
Positive (f.p. 9.2%)
A positive result is considered when the fixation percentage (f.p.) is greater than 8.2

8.- Normal blood glucose curve(August 2018).

I will continue adding more tests...
