Post Orgasm Routine
« on: August 31, 2012, 02:02:35 AM »
Hello to all pois members. I have been monitoring threads on this site for 2? years. I'm really grateful for all treatments you guys have developed.
I know there has been significant development on the pois prevention but I believe post orgasm contingency routine shouldn't be ignored.
I'm here to offer my personal post orgasm contingency plan in hopes that others will critique or refine my routine for it to be more effective.

You should only do this on an empty stomach.
1. niacin 300mg mixed in water, drink more water to induce flush
.. wait till flush has completed, flush should be felt at the sides of your head if not the whole of your head
2. 1 cup of coffee. Exact formulation is caffiene 1teaspoon coffee + 1 teaspoon decaf with sucralose +sugar
3. 1 clove garlic cut into swallowable pieces and swallow (don't chew). have not tried chewing but I always gotten very tired after chewing.
.. you should feel a lightening sensation at the top of your head
4. 1 cup of green tea with 2 tea bags
.. you should feel calmer and less anxious

I hope you guys try it.  Strangely sometimes I just get POIS when studying or doing work, my eyes get blurry, I feel restless, unable to connect thoughts. During those times this routine really saves my butt especially the niacin flush. The logic behind the other stuff is mostly to counteract how mentally tired I become after my flush. I also have taken 25mg of dmaa(similar to ephedrine) as step 0 before which did give me physical though not mental energy to continue to be productive.

*Swapped coffee with green tea for step 4 for l-theanine's synergetic calming effect with caffiene

I have noticed that this routine (mainly the garlic) causes anxiety. I'm looking for supplements to suppress it, I've tried phosphatidylserine and just today bacopa monnieri. With PS the anxiety decreased but it made me space out, bacopa monnieri seems to calm me down, it does seem to reduce energy as well but I feel better overall. I'm not too confident about bacopa monnieri since by itself I really didn't like how it made me slightly tired and interfered with my sleep.

I know 2 supplements that appear to work quite well for anxiety. l-glutamine and l-taurine.

Tetra,

I was having a little problem with Anxiety a few months back until I started on Kurtosis' B Complex Regimen.

I have read that B Complex (In particular B6) in conjunction with Magenesium is effective against Anxiety. It certainly has helped me.

Hey JT, Do you take the taurine also or just the magnesium+b6?
Every time I hear about the "kurtosis regime" it's slightly different. Even I've changed it a bit but that was because I figured out that carnitines worked much more effectively than other ways to increase acetyl-choline (huperzine for instance).
Let me know what you're taking and how it's made you feel?

Hey Kurtosis,

As posted in the other thread - Here's what I'm taking.

Morning:
100mg Now Foods Co-Enzyme B Complex
250mg Magnesium
120mg Ginko
2 Tablets of Now Foods Spirulina
2 Tablets of Now Foods Krill Oil
2 Tablets of Fish Oil

Afternoon:
4 Tablets Fish Oil
60mg Ginko

Evening:
Usually only 4 Tablets of Fish Oil
On Evenings that I plan to O, I will take another Co-Enzyme Tablet along with 300mg of Niacin.

I'm not taking any Taurine or acetyl l-carnitine at the moment because I have been able to find it in tablet form here just yet. I'll keep looking as they sound promising.

Re: Kurtosis Regimen.....I guess this has become a bit of a loose term for 'A B Complex regimen, with some Ginko and whatever else tickles your fancy' :-) You were the man that started it so its got your name on it :-)

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Sorry, you had responded to me already :) Lost in the many threads of poiscenter.
Do you eat a lot of protein, besides spirulina? Spirulina is good for raising dopamine levels as it has a lot of tyrosine / kg but it's not so useful if you want to increase GABA. In that case dairy is better as it contains glutamine and taurine.
I've done 2 things that have made a big difference over the past few weeks. I've added some yoghurt and very low lactose whey protein to my diet and reduced the amount of spirulina. And I swapped the huperzine for carnitine complex.
If you can stomach some whey then have a go. Otherwise you might need to add some L-taurine to your spirulina. It should be available in every health food shop and is a very cheap ingredient.

I have to buy most stuff online here. Everything from ginkgo to st john's wort is on a prescription-only list & to-date I haven't met a doctor who would prescribe a herbal treatment as opposed to the product of a large drug company. But hey, if I really wanted to be prescribed every single anti-depressant known to man then this is a great place to live :)

Thanks jivetalk, I do have ZMA and B6 around I'll try them in combination, I'm wondering how sedating they are. I've found l-theanine in the form of green tea sufficient for the moment.

ZMA has b6. You don't need to take extra b6 with it. Actually, too much b6 can be overstimulating and bad for the health of your nerves. Please don't exceed the recommended dose of whatever ZMA supplement you're taking.
