Dear fellow POIS sufferers,
I've had tremendous success using a hybrid treatment protocol based on Quantum and Nanna1 recommendations. My POIS condition prior to this intervention was quite severe consisting of flu-like symptoms that lasted for 2-3 days after ejaculation (headache, itchy throat, stomach irritation, body aches, congestion, anxiety, inability to focus etc). Over the course of 10-15 years of POIS, I tried many different dietary and supplement-based interventions, none proving singularly or enduringly effective. It wasn't until I began trialing the Quantum-Nanna stacks that I began to experience more substantial relief.
Over the past few years, I experimented with different combinations and dosages until I arrived at an effective protocol that consists of two stages, firstly, fortifying the immune system and elevating overall health, and secondly, preventing and minimizing the POIS cascade. The protocol is as follows and both can be done in tandem:
STAGE 1 - FORTIFY THE IMMUNE SYSTEM & ELEVATE GENERAL HEALTH
The following taken twice daily to start with for 3-6 months, then tapering down to once daily after that time:
Take the following between meals with fluids once in morning and once in evening:
- S-Adenosyl (200 mg) - Jarrow
- Alpha GPC (300mg) - Jarrow
- B12 & Folate + P-5-P (contains Vitamin B6 1.5mg, Folate 400 mcg 680 mcg DFE & b12 Metyhlcobalamin 1000 mcg) - Jarrow
STAGE 2 - PREVENT & MINIMIZE POIS CASCADE
1 hour prior to sex/ejaculation
- D3&K2 Liposomal (2500 IU D3 / 90 mcg K2) - QuickSilver Scientific
- Vitamin C Liposomal (1,000 mg) - Quicksilver Scientific
30 minutes prior to sex/ejaculation
- L-Citrulline dissolved in water (4 grams) - Swanson
- Acetaminophen 250mg & Aspirin 250mg & Caffeine 65 mg - Excedrin Extra Strength
- N-Acetyl Cesteine (NAC) 1,000 mg - NOW
- Selenium (200mcg) - NOW
Using this protocol I've achieved approximately 95% remission in my symptoms. The only areas that remain at issue for me are sleep i.e. difficulty in falling asleep night 1 and night 2 without supplementing with an aid such as melatonin, and two, stomach irritation (ibs) which may or may not be POIS related. If anyone has any ideas how to treat stomach irritation such as IBS/GERD, or ways to kick the temporary insomnia, please let me know.
This is the protocol that works for me, hopefully it will help some of you. This is of course, not medical advice and please consult with a healthcare professional first before taking anything I mentioned. Not all types of POIS are the same, and not all treatments/cures will work in your particular case. Thank you to Quantum and Nanna1 for their groundbreaking work. Persistence overcomes, resistance...you will get better.
To your health,
