POIS Rifaximine
« on: June 10, 2024, 03:32:55 PM »
Hello.

My POIS has become very severe since 2020. I have had ?POIS? for 16 years

It all started when I started a Biotin treatment, and a sexual practice method for 3 months without ejaculation.

For 6 months I have been on Rifaximin + Cortisone 8mg which has considerably reduced my POIS symptoms which had become too severe.

Rifaximin is a non-absorbable antibiotic, usually used in encephalopathy, which helps reduce the production of ammonia indirectly in the body.

I also checked the amino acid levels, which are not normal.

Proline, Glycine, Glutamine are higher than normal x2-3 above

Ethanolaminol, Cystine, Aspartic Acid are much lower than the standard x20+ below

I will soon have ?serious? internal medicine treatment to treat POIS.

For the moment the tracks of my POIS would be an imbalance of the flora, I have a significant bacterial dysbiosis, a Stafilococcus Hominis Epidermis infection has a Stamey test, which consists of collecting the urine before test and after. Staphylococci are found only after the test and not before.

When I stop Rifaxamine my muscle symptoms are significantly more severe (it's look like myasthenia symptomes, include breath issue).

I think my amino acid values are the main cause of my POIS.
