So this is still a mystery to me, but it seems that when i hang a wet towel around my neck, specifically keeping the back of the neck cool, i find a marked reduction in anxiety, and i feel calmer overall, and can concentrate better.

A similar thing happens when i wet my hair and let it air dry.

I started to imagine that my brain overheats and causes anxiety.

I feel absolutely euphoric sometimes after swimming in a pool. Salt water or chlorinated fresh water. I still don't know why. I figured the cool water is anti-inflammatory. Cold showers don't really do the same though.

Cold activates the vagus nerve, see Wim Hof Method. Anti-inflammatory, calming.
