New here. My story. Employment issues.
« on: July 23, 2020, 09:57:40 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm new here.  :)

I don't have a diagnosis yet (still in the process) but doctors think it's likely POIS. And I believe that too.
For me it all lasts 168 hours i.e. 7 days. Since puberty. But I believe I survived school because as far as I can remember I often managed to keep it at one relapse on friday evenings. There were exceptions of course and I remember a few times where I could barely walk home from the bus stop to my home.

Now I'm a bit anxious and hopeless about my future. Especially employment wise. I had a summer job once but it didn't work out as I relapsed and POIS came in the way.
I'm wondering if I ever can find a job and especially keep it beyond 2,3, 4 weeks.
I went 200 days without any orgasm or edging. I had hit rock bottom and I treated it like my last chance at life. I became confident. Wet dreams did set me back but not nearly as bad as actually masturbating. I relapsed, because of the huge frustration at myself and my situation even more horribly than I ever did.

Now today a few years on, I've discovered a magnesium b- complex supplement and vitamin d. This sometimes seems to help me with fatigue. Meaning I can do the workout that I only could do after 5 days now often on the first and if not the on the 2nd post-orgasm.

But social anxiety, muscle twitching, hand tremors and voice loss keep me at home for a week.

Have you tried a naturopath that looks at the whole situation?
I'm right now in the boat where I believe a lot of problems are from persistent/latent infections that need to be cured to improve a lot of the symptoms you might be having..

However if you don't want to go that route yet, maybe you could find yourself treated using one of the methods here:

Sorry, what do you mean by a naturopath?
And thank you for referrin me to the charts post. I do need to find out which type of POIS it is in my case. Although I'm a bit overwhelmed with the sheer multitude of supplements/medical drugs recommendations, simply because I think it will be difficult for me to get hold of these.
I just know that Niacin with flush effect doesn't benefit me.
I have an idea that garlic, not eliminate or anything, but I suspect it helps me with my voice loss.
As I'm writing I'm thinking today my voice/throat was better than expected and if I remember correct the meal I ate at my family's house had garlic in it.
As you see, connecting the dots as we go :)

I'm not a native Speaker, I might have used the wrong word.

I meant a doctor or practitioner who looks at the patient in a more holistic manner, e.g. with something like TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
Or by looking at potential chronic infections.

Just an idea, anything else could be the problem too.

Have you tried pain killers as workaround for when you need to perform?

Oh I see. Don't worry perhaps it's me not understanding as I'm not a native speaker either.
Seeing a holictic practitioner - good idea actually. That brings me to things that are said to be traditionally taken by ancient people i.e. things like chia seeds etc. Next time I'm gonna buy and try those.

I have not tried painkillers yet. I actually don't have much medication at home. And it's difficult to get them i.e. a prescription from doctors is required here where I live.
So, I'm going with trying out foods, supplements etc. while I'm going from doctor to doctor trying to get a diagnosis. I'm actually feeling better this time so far even though I relapsed yesterday. Maybe because of the high doses of vitamin d?! I really really hope so.

How about your experience, do you know which type you've got?
