niacin
« on: April 13, 2019, 02:01:04 PM »
Hi all. Yesteday i tried 200 mg of niacin. I got flesh: red skin.Afetr 50 minutes i had O. and i had only 5-10% of brain fog(other symptoms disappeared) Only one thing what i worry about is that i had red skin almost 2 hours. Is it okey?, or i should reduce dosage, for example 150 mg. My weight is just about 60 kg, maybe 200 is too much for me?

Thanks, nanna1!

Apparently, niacin is one of the most successful treatments (but not for everyone!) in our 12 years here.

That’s what makes your interesting graph especially meaningful.

One more of the symptoms that POIS produces is varicose formations. One at the testicular level (called varicocele).

I now niacin (the one producing flush skin) is a vasodilator. So due to this, I never tried it: to avoid the worsening of the varicocele.

I bought niacin a long time ago. and I have it at home. Should I try it?.... I do not know if it's a good idea in my case.

Thank you Rinat and nanna1!

Should I try it? [niacin]

fernab, may I humbly suggest that it should be decided between you and your doctor? :) :)

Thanks Demo! ... you are right that this is the best for anything delicate. Indeed, I also believe that in any doubt, that is precisely what must be done. Although I must also say that I already moved this one to my GP. But she, also explaining the problem I have with varicocele, understood that maybe it was not advisable. That's why I've been tempted, as is logical, to ask here: after reading the good result it has in some cases. But I have not tried it yet. I think you're right and maybe I should talk to a urologist who is more specialized in that problem and maybe he could advise me better than my GP.

Thank you Demo!  :)

fernab, not giving any advice, but could you measure your 'waking up' body temperature (when you are not sick).  I have found thyroid dysfunction leading to ejaculatory diseases including my own POIS.  In general Niacin will work for the hyper-thyroid, while counterproductive for clinical or subclinical hypo-thyroid (under methylators).

Hi swell, I am in a permanent POIS state. My POIS symptoms are triggered in this case not for any arousal or emission. But rarely it is triggered just by putting pressure on some sensible areas of my body.

I have been checked several times the levels of my thyroid and has never shown signs of hyper or hypo (above or below).

I could measure my 'waking up' body temperature but being with this permanent POIS state... I have no other possibility.
Do you think it would be useful in this state? And also having my thyroid at normal level?.... Anyway I thank you for giving me some additional ideas. I will keep them in mind when visiting a specialist. Thank you swell. This info can also be useful for anyone reading it, to share it with his doctor before taking the niacin.

Thank you fernab, I would not have asked if it was not useful.   Get me your waking up temperature when not sick.  I have heard it from countless folks that they had their thyroid checked at a big hospital so they are sure they dont have thyroid problem, but when you ask them what specific tests they had they are clueless.

Hi all. I do not take methiotine any more.Instead of it i use GABA blocator  . To sum up niacin and GABA blocator 1 hour before.Niacin works grate. But i think that adding of second one is important.Because it makes me cleverer and more calm. Sory for my english.

It seems a med called Dihydromyricetin avoid the alcohol hangover by avoiding GABA rollercoaster level.
It might be a potential Pois cure .
