Seems like the right place to put this. Seems like cortisol may have been one of my main enemies in insomnia. I've been eating about 350g of cannelini beans per day now (one Goya can). Each 100g contains about 100 mg of natural phosphatidylserine. Makes me calm as heck and I love it. Been sleeping through the night for a week straight! That is probably a record for me. I hope the trend continues. Not sure if I am set on a can a day. May even lower this to half a can.

One jarrows phosphatidylserine contains only 100 mg. This one can of beans is more than 3x that. I've tried the jarrows version before. It works good mentally but gave me gut pain so I had to stop taking it. These beans are the way to go for me.

This might be another reason why olive leaf extract is effective for me. The oleuropein lowers cortisol.

The post in question is mine

Journey, Do you think your Cortisol values improved (lowered) now that you follow some of the Ray Peat ideas about lowering cortisol? (orange juice, milk, gelatine, liver, saturated fat, keeping blood sugar stable, not doing fasting etc? etc)

I feel less cortisol when I Peat, the test I did was in morning when I haven't eaten yet and slept 6 hours so it might be why

Ray Peat on Cortisol

In other news, I started with Relora two days ago. Will make a thread about it.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
