Adrenergic tension of human seminal vesicles
« on: January 04, 2019, 10:38:35 AM »
I once had a discussion with my POIS doctor about nitric oxide, POIS, vessel walls, seminal vesicles, smooth muscles, vascular tone and premature ejaculation and among many things he considered to be involved in POIS he also was thinking about how nitric oxide-donating drugs could be helpfull in POIS patients. He gave me this article:

Effects of various nitric oxide-donating drugs on adrenergic tension of human seminal vesicles in vitro.

I come up with this now because I have tried a selective beta1 blocker (only once), metoprolol 25 mg, a month ago for blood pooling and it did seem to do something with the area where my genitourinary system is located, like increasing blood flow and/or altered tension. So I was thinking whether POIS had something to do with tension and/or an impaired blood flow/supply to the genitourinary system, thus the above conversation came to mind.

Hmmm, I just have a hard time connecting it all to inflammation. Maybe the damaged Endothelium have a dysfunction in NO release. How does that associate with orgasm/ejaculation though?

Like Niacin NO widens the vessels. Niacin contains a lot histamine. NO not. Maybe it could work better than Niacin. Bodybuilders take it before the workout. If POIS-patients take it before sex it might bring some relief. I used to drink and eat beets for a few weeks, But I stopped because beets are high in histamine. There are members here who eat a lot of beets.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

Beets are high in betaine and choline is required for synthesis of betaine. Hmmm interesting I just made a thread today about choline deficiency you can read it over here: https://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2877.0

Yes Nas endothelial dysfunction is asociated with NO and acetylcholine in terms of abnormal levels or responses. This also alters permeability. How this exactly explain POIS I don't know.
