I'm typing this on my phone so I'll try to keep it simple.  Since diet improves some or most of sufferers symptoms, I was wondering if POIS could be a reaction of too much bbb penetration.  I was fine for many months without POIS until I introduced raw garlic into my diet.  Garlic caused me a bit of brain fog but i stuck with it.  Garlic penetrates the bbb easily.  Since eating gluten free and a healthy diet I could O without problems... Maybe garlic "overdid" it and my brain decides to attack any "O" ... Like it goes on the defensive if the bbb is penetrated too much.  Just a quick thought, could be wrong and this could of been brought up before.

Some people here have actually had success getting relief of symptoms with garlic. Just goes to show how little we know about this disease.
Symptoms last 6-7 days. Onset of muscle weakness after 30 seconds. Symptoms include: brain fog, fatigue, depression, pale skin/dark circles under eyes,  digestive problems, difficulty taking a full breath, irritability. NONE of these are present out of POIS.

Going less Crazy,

how are you doing? Have your symptoms vanished again after cutting out garlic? One thing that came to my mind when reading about you experiencing problems with garlic was that it is one of the foods which should be avoided completely if one has small intestinal bacteria overgrowth (SIBO) or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). See e.g. here: http://www.ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/

Have you maybe been experiencing SIBO or IBS?
Used to have brain fog, flue-like symptoms, un-refreshing sleep, extreme exhaustion, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, social anxiety, urge to urinate frequently.
Used niacin in the past. Now using nanna1's maintenance stack. Exhaustion and brain fog now main problem. 3-day POIS cycle

My POIS goes away if I eat offending foods.  It's a list that is continually growing.  I do think there may be something wrong with my gut maybe lgs or something.  My approach is now to heal the gut naturally and through avoiding offending foods.  This should relieve autoimmune problems and POIS.  Diet for POIS is number 1 in my book.

Is your list somewhere on this forum?  Maybe you and I have similar issues.  I thought for the longest time that I was just accidentally eating gluten.  I only recently realized these periodic mysterious resurgence of my gluten symptoms  were happening after orgasm.  Also, what brand of tolerase g do you take?

Yes, it's in autoimmune - than diet that 100 manages POIS post.

I'm taking glutngo, however, I cannot attest to it's effectiveness just yet.  Recently I'm trying to introduce brown rice back into my diet because of the nutrition and it supposedly aids with sleep (insomnia is my biggest problem I believe from lack of nutrients and I can't take vitamins).  I tried some today and felt mentally well but had bad stomach pain.  I'm going to try some with this enzyme tomorrow and see if I don't have any pain.  This should be a good test.  Tolerate g targets proline rich proteins, orzenin is the rice gluten that contains proline so this should be a good test.  I've also ate yellow corn chips without stomach pain while taking the enzyme previously, but those chips provide no nutrition, are not healthy, and probably made my insomnia worse.

So I took tolerase g along with cooked brown rice the other day and it took most of the pain away.  I would say 80-90% less pain than just eating brown rice alone.  This is from one 100 mg pill, they recommend 1-2 pills per meal that "may contain" gluten.  So, this is some positive result.
