Effective Treatment for my POIS - Mytelase
« on: September 29, 2015, 03:17:20 PM »
Hi All,

I believe I am only the second person to try the drug Mytelase - the first person being Outsider. I have waited a month before sharing anything to minimise any placebo effect.

So I have tried Mytelase a few times now and each time it has in my view been 100% effective in stopping my POIS. The first time I took it I believe I experienced what it is like for "normal" guys to have sex. No excessive sweating, bundles of energy and wanting to go for it a second time (I have refrained for doing this so far as it's still initial stages).

This has been a life changing experience for me and I believe Mytelase is extremely close to tackling root of my type of POIS.

For the record, my type of POIS has:

1) Unable to have hot showers in POIS as it increases inflamation
2) Unable to drink caffiene in POIS without feeling very agitated

I also respond to taking progesterone to reduce symptoms.

Mytelase - I got the drug from France as it is not that easy at all to get it in the UK because it is not on the preferred supply list. Mytelase is cheap at only 15 Euros for a bottle 50 tablets.

A special thanks goes out to Outsider who explained his successful dosage regime and how to avoid the drug making you feel nauseous. I know how long it can take to get this right as it took me 6 months to work out how to best take progesterone. Having the right dosage for mytelase meant I was able to get the best results on the first shot (no pun intended). THANKS OUTSIDER!!!!!!

Mytelase is not available in the US legally as the license has run out. It is distributed in four european countries; France, Hungary, Czeck Rep and Poland. It can also be legaly shipped to anywhere in Europe.

I will provide updates shortly at some point soon.

Hi, FB

I share your joy at having found something that really relieves your POIS symptoms.  And, congratulations for you coming wedding!

This is why it is great that this POIS forum exists - even if no solution works for everybody, we can read about others successes at preventing and relieving their symptoms in a safe way.  Then, if a solution have been working for a member,  it may be effective for other members having the same POIS "subtype".  It is quite a step to find some relief, even if not a cure!

Take care, FB !

Very happy for you FB! Did you take (are you taking?) lecithin or choline rich foods before trying Mytelase? What was the response?

Turmeric and Rosemary 30-45 minutes before orgasm for anti-inflammatory and immune support has helped me a lot. Faster and easier than niacin approach.

Demo - Thanks very much!

Nightingale - Yeah I got some soya L tablets. Sometimes take them with Mytelase and sometimes not. I'm not sure if they work or not. It's early stages for me. I find if a take Mytelase after a good sized meal usually I don't feel sick at all. It did give me an upset stomach once.

It's worth noting Mytelase will only work for me if I take it before having O. I have to take in morning, lunch then dinner...then shoot. So shooting requires planning nearly a day ahead.

For those in the US where is the drug is not available I believe there are a couple of similar types of drugs. I think I read somewhere that mytelase is the quickest acting cholinesterase inhibitor.

My ears pricked up at this since I've been taking an herbal extract that has a similar mechanism of action as your Mytelase drug. The one I take is Huperzine A and it is also an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, but all it does for me is improve my memory. A few times I've taken a double dose by mistake and ended up with a severe headache, but no nausea. Has Mytelase ever given you headaches?

A disorder involving acetylcholine, such as myasthenia gravis could make sense for me as my muscles have been slowly wasting since my pois developed, the most indicative symptom being my facial muscles as lack of exercise wouldn't have as great of an effect there.
Taking ginger tea, no wheat, fenugreek+green tea/garlic, saw palmetto, niacin, boswellia, huperzine, B complex and nutmeg. See my treatment summary post for more info: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.msg3513#msg3513

Re: "Acetylcholine subtype" of POIS ?
« Reply #13 on: October 06, 2015, 10:51:22 AM »
Interesting Thread.

It sounds like there may be an "Acetylcholine subtype" of POIS.  It could be identified by the fact that a hot shower makes the POIS symptoms more severe, and a cold shower brings relief  ( see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasthenia_gravis#Ice_test , where it is explained that the acetylcholinesterase activity decreases at lower temperature ).  Caffeine could also be detrimental to those POIS sufferers, but that would have to be confirmed, though.

This could allow some predictions, if some other members would confirm the same pattern. It would predict that if a POIS sufferer has his symptoms worsened by a hot shower, chances are he will have a good relied by using a cholinesterase inhibitor , like Mytelase, and from otther products that helps with acetylcholine levels, in particular in the muscles ( weakness) and brain ( lack of memory and focus).  As cholinesterase inhibitors are usually are on prescription only, consult your physician.  Huperzine A seems to be an exception, being a natural product having cholinesterase inhibition properties, and is available without prescription, but again, consult with a health professional before using it.

Some other natural products can raise acetylcholine level in another way, like lecithin, a precursor of acetylcholine, which is a pretty safe product, unless you are allergic to soy or eggs.  And if I remember it well, Outsider said he has to take lecithin, along with Mytelase, in order to get relief.

Out of curiosity, I would like to ask to Vincent_M if his symptoms get worse after a hot shower.  Then it would be consistent with what Outsider and FloppyB has described.  If any other members has is symptoms worsen by a hot shower, it would be interesting to hear from them as well.

My symptoms are not worsened by a hot shower, so it is possible that taking Mytelase had little to no effects for my POIS.  If I try Huperzine one day, I may see, but as it also is a NMDAR blocker, and they usually are good for me, my results wouldn't be conclusive.  Mytelase is not available in Canada, so I won't be able to challenge my hypothesis on myself, and I surely not go for more potent drugs like donezepil, and wouldn't advice anybody to do so without medical supervision.   I have never noticed if lecithin and soy had or not a particular effect on my POIS, but I have been taking soy beverage for years ( instead of cow milk), so I don't lack lecithin in my body.

Well, some POIS sufferers may now take the "Hot shower challenge", and after, for relief, the ice bucket challenge  :)

I thought this drug could be comparable to Mytelase.  Galantamine is used for the treatment of myasthenia. Not sure if that is the same as myasthenia gravis though (which Mytelase is used to treat).

About acetyl-choline(AC), this is something we didn't look enough for and it's probably more complicated. It's linked to dopamine as a booster neurotransmitter (I remember dopamine is the accelerator and acethylcholine is the gas).
Some guys had improvment only by eating eggs (1 egg = about half of choline needed a day).
Some guys had improvment with acetylcholinergic meds.
Taurine seems to regulate AC.
I have the same problem with caffeine.

Congratulation for your marriage! We wish you the best !
Keep us informed of your improvment with the med.
I understand the fact to chose to get married is a proof you are 100%  of the power of your med. In 2014 after my taurine improvment I made an important choice in my life, impossible with Pois.

Hi B_jim,

Yes, things are always be a bit more complicated with POIS... ;)

You have the caffeine problem. Do you have the hot shower problem as well ?

This sub-type of POIS, having the hot shower problem and responding to cholinesterase inhibitors and chiolinergic supplements could be only one of the dozens possible subtypes POIS, as it appears quite obvious that it is not exactly the same presentation for every POIS sufferers.  I feel POIS regroups different subtypes of similar syndromes, and I had this opinion quite early after finding this forum. First, my own symptoms, not including cognitive symptoms, which are fairly common overall, was already a reason for suspecting different but similar physiopathologies   Also, early on, I have started to regroup symptoms in clusters, because it is quite rare that two POIS sufferers have exactly the same list of symptoms, even if the overall list is pretty well known.  Also, I have started creating an organized compendium of what helps at relieving POIS and what type of symptoms, and it was clear that no single supplement was effective for all of POIS sufferers.  Sometimes effects were quite the opposite for other POIS sufferers, as they were reporting on their own negative results about a supplement or a procedure that another POIS sufferer had success with.

This reminds me of all those syndromes like CFS, ME, and the like, that have slightly different variations on the same theme.

Hello FloppyBanana,

Great news about your success, well done :)

I get the hot shower problem myself, and I get relief from taking Fenugreek, which contains high levels of choline

http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/pharmacy/currentstudents/OnCampusPharmDStudents/ExperientialProgram/Documents/nutr_monographs/Monograph-fenugreek.pdf

Could you PM me with info about where I can purchase Mytelase from? I'm assuming (hoping) that you got it online rather than travelling to France.

Thank you very much :)
