Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) theory
« on: August 23, 2014, 10:15:25 PM »
The reasons why my system can't handled foods high in histamine. Everytime I ate foods high in histamines, I felt POIS symptoms even without POIS.

 What causes high histamines levels??

.Allergies (IgE reactions)
.Bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)  (I think this SIBO theory, is the caused of my POIS symptoms because I got foods poisoning before my horrible POIS symptoms appeared)
.Leaky gut syndrome
.Diamine Oxidase (DAO) deficiency ( due to SIBO )
.Adrenal surge or POTS that I get upon orgasm ( I think I should eliminate all the Chinese foods. So, I should say no to high Monosodium glutamate foods to decreased my norepinephrine. )

How normal people can break down histamine???

Once formed, histamine is either stored or broken down by an enzyme. Histamine in the central nervous system is broken down primarily by histamine N-methyltransferase (HMT), while histamine in the digestive tract is broken down primarily by diamine oxidase (DAO). Though both enzymes play an important role in histamine break down, the American Society or Clinical Nutrition found that DAO is the main enzyme responsible for breaking down ingested histamine. So if you’re deficient in DAO, you likely have symptoms of histamine intolerance.

Causes of Low Diamine oxidase (DAO)

. Gluten intolerance ( I think I should go on gluten-free diet for a year and see what happened about my POIS symptoms and have an orgasm without taking anything before hand such as OLE, Niacin, Beer, Benadryl etc..
. Leaky gut syndrome
. SIBO
. Genetic mutations (common in people of Asian-descent).

I am 17 years old ( Asian ). I am thin and unable to gain weight, no matter how much I ate.

I think if I can bring back my vitamin D to normal level and fix my SIBO, Decrease my norepinephrine and severe Adrenal fatigue. I think I can get my life back.

But the important thing is no doctor could treat this SIBO in an area where I lived. Poor me ;(

This puzzle is very hard to solve. And it's not my job to figured out what caused this horrible POIS symptoms. This should be a doctors and scientists job. Why me?? =(

Hmm. Good point. I've been trying to solve it myself for the last 11 years and have gotten nowhere. So that's why I feel the need for professional research, like what's going to happen at Rutgers!

As a side note, I believe POIS to be something physical, not just stress, and not just in the head. Overall, I've had a pretty stress-free and happy life. Even on days where I just completely chill out and try to be very relaxed, I still feel POIS. If I have an NE in my sleep, I feel POIS when I wake up. Can sleeping be stressful? There's definitely more to it then being stressed or burned out. And if not, then the exact biological cause of everyone getting so stressed or burned out will have to be discovered.
