Little back story of myself, but you can feel free to skip down to the symptoms.
27 year old male here... been masturbating almost every single day since I was in middle school. It all started with calendar models and lingerie magazines. I dont know but I just found a way to pleasure myself. Anyway, I used to be doing very well in school... 4.0GPA student up until first two years in college. I had ZERO problems grasping new information and I learned new materials very quickly. I did have some kind of memory/brain fog problem and eczema problem at the time but it wasn't severe so I just shrugged it off as nothing. But in 2010, everything just went downhill.... I had even more trouble concentrating, had problems working out what should be simple math problems (at the geometry level), eczema or skin rash got even worse, developed tinnitus, eye problems, etc. So now here I am doing a research on POIS after a week and now I'm at a lost of what to do next. The opthamologist said my eyes were fine... the few doctors said my health was good... the blood tests showed my thyroid levels were normal. But the allergy results said that I was allergic to dairy, nuts, seafood, mold, and pet dander.... which doesn't make any sense because I used to eat all of the food allergies listed since I was born up until high school. But I noticed if I drank milk, I would actually develop some rash on my arms... though I used to drink milk a lot without any reactions back in high school. Plus some people have said that allery tests can sometimes be false. So far I've tried not to masturbate and have only lasted a week... so I'm still getting used to it. I also have been trying to avoid dairy and all those food allergies but its been very difficult. I'm sorting through the memories as a kid and to be honest right around the time I started masturbating is when I started noticing these symptoms of eczema and brain fog. They weren't big problems but they gradually just got worse each year.
Symptoms:
- Heavy memory problems (brain fog, difficulty in concentrating, difficulty in solving problems that should be easy, difficulty reading, confusion, difficulty recalling some vocabulary words and their meaning)
- Social anxiety
- Feeling disoriented
- Heavy visual problems (ghosting, visual snow, blurry vision, double vision, light sensitivity)
- Eczema (skin rash all over, dry too)*
- Hair loss (head, eyebrows, mustache, belly area, legs)*
- Tinnitus
- Depression
- Feeling extremely tired all day all the time even after 7-8 hours of a good nights sleep
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Derealization (everything literally feels like a dream since 2010)
- Difficulty sleeping
The * indicates that I've researched about the relation between this and POIS but have found nothing on Google. The only medication I'm taking right now is an ointment for my eczema.
