I'm pretty sure dieting will not cure POIS, since it's a genetic anomaly than a physical one. It may lessen the blow, but that's about it.

Keep dieting though, whatever is great for your health. Exercising is almost as essential. It's great for releasing all those serotonins, which combat the POIS symptoms like depression.

I cook and prepare extremely healthy meals every night and have done for years.  I also get good exercise.  I still have pois.

I think eating well is easier on systems over-taxed by POIS, like the liver and others.

I've been on a diet for about 6 months.... more for general health reasons than anything. I will have to work at 4000 meters (12,500 ft)  in the mountains on a mining project soon, so preparing for that.

But it's the Chilean "4th of July", and I had a whole week off, eating barbeques, drinkng wine and beer.... and every day about 9 PM I was feeling like crap. It's a heavy strain on the liver, especially after I've been treating it so well. For the first time in about a year, I had chalky pee in the morning, after sex the night before.

I took my viagra and the POIS is barely present, but more than usual.

You don't realize the load that bad diet puts on you, until you clean up for a good while. Back at healthy eating tomorrow!!

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!
