i use nortriptyline too.
Interesting, nortriptyline is primarily a norepinephrine reuptake inihibitor.

Norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors and L-Dopa could be a good way to counter act the drop in catecholamines.

I have had depression and anxiety and stomach trouble. I have tried most antidepressants. Only Nortriptyline helped me.

That is special. Do you have reverse POIS?  ;D

Seriously: I am eating manuka honey for two years. Almost daily. Does not do a thing with POIS. But I use it for general health.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

Honey is said to be nature?s golden medicine, and for excellent reasons! While you usually hear that you shouldn?t eat honey after 7 p.m., European folk healers have recommended drinking warm milk with a teaspoon of honey to ensure a good night?s sleep. And they aren?t the only ones! Traditional Mexican healers are known to prescribe drinking chamomile tea with a teaspoon of honey before bed, and the ancient Chinese live by the saying that says they should ?eat honey every night?. If this is the case, why are we told to stop consuming honey after a certain time of night? Below are some key examples as to why you should eat honey each night before bed.
You?ll sleep much better

2 tablespoon of pure honey And I sleep like a baby!!

but if I take it during POIS episode I will have horrible brain fog and thirsty.

My psychiatrist long ago called it an SNRI (vs SSRI like Lexapro, Prozac, etc.)
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
