Inflammation of the esophagus - One of the reasons for POIS!
« on: March 18, 2022, 06:45:11 AM »
Hello everyone.

This method helped me to cope with POIS syndrome.

Orgasm can provoke the release of gastric juice into the esophagus during sleep! This leads to inflammation of the esophagus, i.e. one of the causes of malaise.

I suffered from severe "POIS syndrome" for many years and didn't know what was wrong with me.

At the moment, the solution with lifting the bed by 15 cm helped me, as shown in the picture

As a result, POIS almost disappeared. Perhaps this information will help those who have the same reason.

It’s used by people with dysautonomia.

Hypovolemia: Fludrocortisone, Desmopressin, Increasing fluid + salt intake, elevate head of the bed during sleep.

If the bed is elevated to 60 degrees, our body registers that as “upright” and will release less ANP and maintain a higher fluid and blood volume.

It is recommended to slightly elevate the patient's head during sleep. This is done in order to help (re)condition the patient's body to orthostatic stress, and this can also help patients that may be experiencing gastric motility problems that result in acid reflux or G.E.R.D. The best way to do this is to raise the head of the bed with a few bricks or large books. A wedge pillow is not very helpful for this. Elevating the whole body and having the feet be lower than the hip area is needed to get the intended benefit. A wedge pillow only elevates the shoulders and head, but does nothing to change the position of the hips or the lower legs.

Welcome to the forum!

Interesting. What were your exact symptoms, e.g. in more detail than "Inflammation of the esophagus"?

I'm asking because not everyone might have this.
But Muon brought up an interesting corelation for sure!

I had many symptoms, fever, foggy head, lethargy, anemia, feeling short of breath (like I was choking) and other things. But there was no pain around my esophagus, stomach.
Relieving these symptoms several times helped with what I described above.

I would really like many people to try my method, it's not hard to do.
