Sauna for POIS
« on: February 05, 2022, 11:56:10 PM »
Hi everyone!

I am colleen Torres and I am a fitness freak.  A very dear friend of me is on neuro muscular relaxants and anti-depressants since last 1.5 years. She tried group therapy and all. Now somebody has suggested her sauna but she seems skeptical if its going to work. Does anyone here knows someone who opted for sauna to relieve stress and anxiety and to cure POIS too. And if it actually worked for them? Please share your experience.

Thanks a bunch!

Heat triggers symptoms for me. I once fled from a sauna session because it felt dangerous.

Yes , for me to heat with humid combo is a "killer".

My body react abnormal to temperature change.
On cold, severe vasoconstricition of extremitetes, but as soon
as i exposure to heat i get severe vasodilation in extremitetes
(blod in arteries).

Strangely enough, my POIS symptoms started up shortly after I purchased and started using a home FIR sauna. I spend way too much time in them though and they can be hard
on the adrenals, especially if a person has adrenal insufficiency.
