POIS by Genetic Relation
« on: January 22, 2013, 01:19:45 AM »
I have no knowledge or legitimate suspicions of any family members. I realize this question is inherently difficult to answer because many people have no knowledge of their families sexual history, especially dysfunction or disease. Although, if there is an easily seen genetic correlation research and investigation may be easier. That being said, be honest when answering this question not exuberant and hopeful that there is a correlation.

Apparently there are two other families where multiple family members show POIS symptoms (3 votes for yes including myself, my brother got POIS). The question is whether sexual activity triggers these symptoms in other family members because in some poisers symptoms can also be induced by other triggers than sexual activity. I think there is a genetic component involved in my case. Would be interesting to collect these families and do some genetic testing on them.

This is interesting, I'd just like to point out that multiple family members having a rare disorder could also be down to being exposed to the same unknown environmental factor. Should be interesting to look at those clusters regardless though.

Interestingly most do not have other family members with POIS which makes me wonder could this be due to our individual body state and circumstances that we have had gone through?
