T.R.E.
« on: April 06, 2020, 07:23:31 AM »
I tried to find back the thread on T.R.E. but could' find it.  So, here a new one.

One of my first symptoms after orgasm is shaky legs, when i don't control them even tremors. That corresponds to what other call here "muscle weakness", i suppose.

TRE is a method developed by dr. Berceli. According to his theory, the tremors are a natural instinctive reaction to an accumulation of stress in the body. Stressed animals, when frightened, start doing it automatically. Humans have learned to control/suppress it.

Berceli developed a couple of exercises to provoke these tremors so that one can get rid of accumulated stress. Instructions can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeUioDuJjFI

So, my idea was that when tremors come, after orgasm, to let them come: just to lie down and let the tremors do their work.

The last two weeks, i tried it twice (30 min, immediately after orgasm: in corona times, one has the time for that) and twice it seemed to help. 95% POIS free. I would have liked to come with more definitive results, but i'm not eager to experiment daily with it now, as times are already stressy enough. But it seems to be a promising approach.

Have others experimented with this already?
To be continued...

I don't personally have any tremors after orgasm. I do have unsteady legs as part of my POIS symptoms though. But more pertinently, after someone else posted about the psoas muscle, I realised mine is super tense 24/7. I've been doing a variant of the TRE program you posted. I'm not sure how/whether it affects my actual POIS, as I'm abstinent at the moment. But subjectively, so far, it feels great with regards to my "ambient symptoms", i.e. milder POIS-like symptoms I have regardless of orgasm. My psoas is definitely less tense, and I feel a bit less tense in general. Pain and aches around lower back, glutes and hamstrings have lessened. Not sure if my cognitive symptoms are better (yet).

This is the video I've been using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2DB_ABQMFg

it are exactly the same exercises as TRE proposes
