Good results with corn-free vitamin C
« on: May 02, 2017, 02:08:10 AM »
Just to let you guys know... I always have a hard time with supplements, almost like I get the feeling of an overdose or just simply react to almost everything I take.  But I found corn free vitamin c to be very helpful.

In the past I took vit c for quite a while but in some time i ended getting insomnia, agitation, mouth ulcers from it and it happened every time I took it following these reactions.

As you all know I have dietary issues and I think this vit c has helped me especially with energy and drive without feeling anxious or overly aggressive... And I have been sleeping well, no canker sores either/mouth ulcers.  Vit c has also been a good punch to any residual brain fog for me.  It is corn free, and many other "frees", which I may have been reacting to before.  So this has helped me a lot.  Also vit c is known to be a good antihistamine and also does good things for food allergies/sensitivities.  I don't remember everything I researched about it, but it is also good for celiac reactions in the gut by inhibiting other inflammatory chemicals and producing collagen.

The brand I take is basil bandwagon vitamin c, bb is a health food store.  I'll try to find a link with it if I can.

Update:. Seems impossible to find a link.  I use basil bandwagon vit c but that is not to say that other corn free vit C's won't help.

I also continue to O without symptoms and have O'd while taking this vit c.  Obviously my diet plays a huge role as well.

Later.

Disclaimer: this has been going good for 3 weeks on it every day so it still might be a bit early but it is still somewhat subject to change.

I also take corn free vitamin C. Doesn't seem to change my POIS much but it gives me a bit of energy boost. I'm going to try liposomal vitamin C next as I've heard it's better absorbed in the body.

Yeah it definitely helps (me) with a certain aspect of POIS.  For me it's brain fog and energy.  I'm just amazed at how I can actually take this stuff now without reacting.  I've worked my way up to half a pill and still don't feel bad at all but it gives me sustainable energy.  I'm extremely reactive to medication/vitamins, but it seems to be improving.
