Thin "fishing rod string" like beard hair growth (pictures included)

I recall at high school one of my peers said I should shave my beard as it looks like a bunch of fishing rod strings and it's true they are thin, light (I am blonde too) and my first facial hairs only appeared at 17 (I am 20 now)

I wonder if it has anything to do with POIS along with the lack of adam's apple that somebody else here observed
