Acquired POIS Help
« on: September 24, 2018, 07:14:32 PM »
Hello everyone,
I am 25 years old virgin male. I got POIS just a month before my 25th birthday and how I got it is a unique story in itself. Initially I was suffering from major depressive illness, social anxiety and Panic attacks on a daily basis until I came across binaural beats and vagus nerve stimulation therapy because all the drug therapy seemed to have failed at that time. I used binaural beats and they really helped me a lot with my panic attacks, low mood and insomnia. I started to feel so good for a week but then things started to get dark for me. I became more and more hyper-sexual which lead me to do more and more M. I must mention here that I wasn't a frequent masturbator before and even after M I was quite normal and there was no element of POIS back then other then usual anxiety, etc. Anyways, I started having full blown POIS symptoms the usual brain fog, cognitive impairment, allergic symptoms, pressure headaches, etc. which I must add are gone for me now for the most part EXCEPT hyper-sexual behaviour (Masturbation) and constant pressure/pinching/foreign sensation (for the lack of better word) at the top of my skull slightly to the right side 24/7. That feeling at the top of my head is constantly there no matter what I do. I've sought professional help too but the doctors are as clueless as me. I don't know what to do I am just hopeless and helpless. I can't focus on anything BUT THIS. My attention span is very narrow. I dont know who I am anymore.

(sorry for my bad English or if I've posted something wrong, I am new here)
Thank you for reading this.
Got POIS in 2018 (at age 25) since then there's been a constant evolution of my sign & symptoms and most of them have subsided.
Now I have BMS (Burning Mouth Syndrome) which I believe is due to POIS. My current symptoms are dry/burning hard palate & tongue, decreased salivation, dry nasal passages.

Just the MRI which was normal. I am starting to think this is even POIS anymore. Also when I use smokeless tobacco or snuff it aggravates this condition and I feel like a pinching sensation in my head.

Alamdar,
So sad to hear,
it's my first time hearing about a sudden onset of POIS. Personally, Ive had it since puberty but had no idea it had a name. Unfortunately I, being a Chrisitian believer, thought i was suffering some sort of punishment for having impure sexual release. I thought everyone experienced this. I held this personal belief very closely for many years until mid twenties. One day i was fed up with POIS symptoms and started online researching if i was "normal" and found that this disease had a name!!! Goes to show that awareness of POIS is huge ,since, for many it is embarrassing to talk about thier sexual lives i.e. teenagers. I mention this in hopes it may help someone who reads it.

Just to clarify, you're saying that the only symptoms you are experiencing now are hyper sex drive and a constant pinching/pressure headache on top right of your skull?
How long has that been going on for?

My first thoughts is to do your best to calm down and not "lose yourself" I find that i can get super anxious, frustrated and obsessive with POIS symptoms but it never helps. I have to remind myself that unfortunately POIS has been more of a journey, and if the end is near, its definitely hidden behind a corner or something.

Plenty of sleep, excercise and positive thinking is what i would recommend to start. Stay away from pornography for sure, because that will for sure not help with hyper sexuality. Then keep searching this site and see what type of small treatments people are using to help them manage.

Personally 5 HTP 100mg on 0+1,+2 days have helped me somewhat lately

Hopefully I didn't state too much obvious, sorry if i did, just want to try and help!
Current Sups: "Lean Nutraceuticals Natural Testosterone Booster. Taken as directed on bottle.
Brain Fog 100% gone. Still tired and anxious.
Clomiphene citrate - 50mg. Along with daily egg intake and probiotic foods. Drastic improvement.

Thank you so much for your reply. I truly appreciate it mate and even tho I am pretty much new to all this I understand your struggle with POIS.

Initially, I had full blown POIS but then my symptoms started to change and decrease in severity. I even had hand tremors at one point and oral dryness so much that it caused oral ulcers. At the moment I am just having these two symptoms that I mentioned:
1) Increase libido (hyper-sexuality)
2) Continuous pressure (like there's weight) at the top but slightly to the right side of my head. The main focal point is like the size of a coin just at the top of my head. sometimes it radiates to my right ear as well. Its really hard to describe it in words though. Like its not pain, its not even migraine. Feels like something inside the skull maybe. its driving me nuts. This sensation increases when I become aware of it like when i focus more on it and vice versa. Its been like that for the last couple of months and it never goes away just gets worse at times.

I've also lost my perception of time besides many other things. I cant think, feel or focus properly. I feel like zombie or a robot.

Whats more terrifying is that I am the only one with this rare form of POIS, as far as i know.

You should do a quantitative EGG scan while on POIS and see the results, if not this probably an issue you might have with a nerve in your skull.

UPDATE: so I tried psoas releasing exercises (thanks to this forum) and they really helped me feel much better mostly with the high libido issue. Also I could feel that the pressure on my head decreased in intensity. which makes me think there's an element of vasospasm because of muscle spasm.
