To my knowledge, POIS shouldn't cause neuropathy. If you haven't already, I'd tell a doctor about that immediately.

+1

I think POIS could, rarely, but could cause neuropathy. POIS is some sort of migraine without typical symptoms, and sometimes migraines can cause neuropathy.

It is, in fact my most significant POIS symptom is neuropathy, Bells Palsy followed by skin texture change and then others brain fog etc.  I dont get headaches.
POIS Free, 2+ yrs (occasional/predictive lapses)
Pois symptoms: Peripheral (Skin: Urticaria, dryness, pale blotchy skin), Exasperation of: [Nerve weakness, Muscle weakness + Mental (CNS: Brain Fog, Irritation, Isolation, Speech lethargy, Anxiety)].
Other conditions: ASD, ADD, GA

I?ve tried Lyrica for several months after my neorologist?s suspicion that my prolonged neck and occipital pain might be neuropathic pain, it did alleviate symptoms by a bit, especially muscle-tension related, but didn?t have much effect on brain fog and other symptoms.
I?ve quit since it does have certain side-effects like lack of concentration and I?ve had to quit

Keppra aka levetiracetam in my opinion is not useful for neuropathy.  Its sister med 'gabapentin' works miraculous for me.  And surprisingly it elates my mood so much, I feel like flying :) It takes the burning/tingling pain 100% away.  It improves the mechanical functioning 60%.  However it does have a deletrous effect on brain fog (an important POIS effect).   Also it has a weird effect on me.  I like to play sports, and being on gabapentin, I act weird, my coordination becomes terrible, and I say things (that are funny but equally embarrasing).  This effect is not observed by everyone that  takes it, so you might be lucky to not get it, but still enjoy the neuropathy benefits.
