Lorazepam works for me successfully -- but now I'm working with an Addiction Medicine specialist to get me off it!!! Yikes!

Benadryl (over the counter) worked for me right after my open-heart surgery. However since then I've become progressively hooked on sleep aids. Hope to reverse that after a recently failed experiment :(

I am not sure all "poisers" have abnormal bad sleep. For instance, it's true that I have bad sleep in the sense that I feel very tired when waking up in the morning. But I never had any problem to fall asleep or to sleep the whole night. So I never took any pills for that.

I have insomnia for a few weeks. I want to try this: 1 hour before going to bed I will shut down my tablet, phone and tv. Then I will read a book. I read that the bright light of electronic devices brings you in an awake state. And when you read a book every day 1 hour before going to bed you get a routine and your brain thinks: this guy is almost going to bed.

And abstaince. Sexual activity ruins my sleeping rythym. I can not fall in sleep and the next day I wake up in the afternoon. Broken and feeling cold, even then not without enough sleep. The net night I can not fall in sleep because I woke up so late.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

I will try this relaxing music an hour before going to bed and read a book. Maybe it will help a bit. Baby’s fall in sleep when you sing a song for them.

Yes if you want you can use it during sleep. I never tried it for so long. Normally I listen an hour before sleep, turn it off and go to sleep.

This is nice, after 8 ours of listenig, i susces to fall in sleap for 5 minutes.

Tips from me, use this app to dim you light as much as you can
at bad time, i dimit to 70% before bed.
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b&ei=QAlFXJvdEc_GkwWrt474BA&q=twil+blue+dim+blue+light&oq=twil+blue+dim+blue+light&gs_l=psy-ab.12...0.0..87170...0.0..0.0.0.......0......gws-wiz.h5x2tEVv1_w

Do not eat big hawy meals before bad time.
Do not arosaul before bed time.
Do not use stimulants befor bed time(food bevarages wich conteins coffein)
Do not exsercise before bed time.
If you can, exscersise moderate during daytime.
In pois ( i cant excersise, that damage me ewan harder),
i am exscercise intolerant ewan out of pois.
In pois after E i get seizures sometimes while sleap, sleap paralyses
so, i didnt find eny remedy for those days, that is sleaping but actualy
in wake state, all night i know that i not sleping , like wake but in coma.

Diming light , and use blue light dimer on mx hellps a lot.

Did someone tried chronotherapy under guidance of a professional? Then for a few days you sleep 3 hours later. For example when you go to bed at 04.00 am and you have problems falling in sleep then you go to bed at 07.00 AM. The next day you go to bed at 10.00 AM. Then 1 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm, 10 pm, etc. Untill the desired time going to sleep.

One thing that partly helps me for sleeping is a product known as Dormiplex, the brandname is Physalis. What I find good about it is that it's drops that you need to add to a little water. The more I feel anxious when realising I will not easily fall asleep the more drops I add to the water. Or if I wake up at night and need to sleep a second or third round of waking up it's possible that I'd just take some extra drops. Just a few extra drops again so that it does not affect me to much for daytime. Helps avoid mixing different products when you desperate.

What I also think is great about this product is that it's natural and organic. A plant based product.
I must admit though that when POIS is attacking me full blast that this method does not always work as well as I'd wish it was. But it's still my favourite product though. Just handy!

Just want to also let know, even though it's a natural product I still advise you to let your doc know if you'd ever want to try it before you use it. I've already been using this for more than a year.
