Niacin Suggestions
« on: July 26, 2014, 06:42:49 PM »
Does anyone have recommendations for taking the Niacin. I want to try it but am very hypersensitive and inflamed. I am going to start at just 50mg so I do not exacerbate things if it doesn't wk for me. I have tried it at way to high does under very diff circumstances and it did not wk out. Yet I was on psychotropics which could effect my uptake- being that they were metabolized though the liver.

I think it has credence at this pt though, because I have been eating peanuts and peanut butter like crazy to create mini-flushes when I eat. I does help. But I fear the Niacin supplement may be to intense for me to handle at this point, yet need some relief.

Recommendations or personal methodology?

I began the supplement yesterday with some measurable success w/ neuropathy and cognitive function already.

2 aside questions-

1) Can you take 50mg of niacin twice a day every day for a small morning and evening flush (12hrs separate)?

2) Do you feel rather relaxed, lethargic and have to urinate frequently when you first start the niacin supplement?

Thanks guys! I think this may be actually giving me a great deal of relief!

Your input would be greatly appreciated.
