Symptoms disappeared and reappeared
« on: December 08, 2013, 10:27:05 PM »
So I had an odd experience a couple of months back. My symptoms disappeared for a couple of weeks, and I mean completely. But after about two weeks it came back on like it had always been. I didn't change my sexual behavior, didn't change my diet my diet, or take any new medications, though I did experience a reduction in stress from moving out of my parents house. Even if the reduction in stress was the reason, why would it have come back?

Anyway it was a strange experience and I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had an experience like that?
I have both physical and psychological symptoms for about 6 days. Muscle soreness, pain in the prostate and warmth in the pelvic area, fatigue, lack of motivation, irritability, confusion, inability to focus, forgetting obligations, difficulty communicating, difficulty interacting with others.

Maybe not "completely disappeared", but i think we all have up's and downs. I have had times, especially during summer where POIS is much lighter.

I think stress can have a fair bit to do with it. I feel that the adrenals are involved in the POIS balance. Maybe the reduction in stress, left your system temporarily "unbalanced" on the good side. Then it probably readjusted itself to it's usual off-kilter norm. (Whatever causes the POIS imbalance, worked to restore the imbalance).

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

As this is my first post I would like to start by thanking the hero members and other contributers for the care and effort they put into this forum.  I, and many of the medical practitioners I encountered over the years, thought I was going nuts.  Discovering the original nakeddoctor thread was a great help to me.

My symptoms have occasionally varied a little over the years but they are basically fairly consistent.  However last weekend I had an O and was slightly surprised when the usual symptoms didn't appear. On Monday I was surprised at fluidity of my thoughts and my level of diction. Normally in these circumstance I would've been floundering.

One possible reason springs to mind,  I hadn't had an O since Christmas(6 wks ago approx).

Had an O again yesterday and symptoms are back.  It has been my experience that an O causes irritation which takes many days to disappear.  Subsequent Os add to the irritation and the higher the level of irritation is the worse I can expect the other symptoms to be.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
