POIS - a neuro immune conditioned syndrome ?
« on: September 30, 2017, 08:22:51 AM »
Hello

There is a doctor, Ashok Gupta who claim to have an explanation to the various range of symptoms experienced by the POIS sufferers.
Moreover , he developed a treatment which he claims to have a 80 and over success rate for cure in within 6 months. (He does have a website of his own explaining all www.guptaprogramme.com

In a nutshell , he say that all of the symptoms of POIS can be explained by "changes the circuitry of the amygdala, making it continually over-stimulate the body" .

Hi Tyrasoft,

I cannot comment on the value of the healing program he offered because I didn't read anything about it, but his theorical bases or not unlike many ideas that have been discussed here, around both the neurological and the immunological aspects.

This amygdala-centered hypothesis is based on neurology, but immunity is implied as well.  I guess his therapy program includes stress-management tools ( meditation, yoga, exercise, etc...), thought reprogramming to calm down the amygdala, which is an emotional alarm system ( with various behavioral therapy tools), and may also include some supplements, and probably many lifestyle changes suggestions for a healthier living, not unlike what is suggest on this forum ( diet changes, methyl support and liver support in general, etc...).
You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259
