Has anyone tried very high doses of niacin/niacinamide?
« on: May 01, 2024, 12:29:23 PM »
Good evening everyone,
I've been getting good results for more than 3 weeks with daily doses of:
Benfotiamine (150 mg)
Magnesium citrate (425 mg)
Zinc (15 mg)
Jarrow b-right (1 caps)
Niacinamide (500 mg)

Adding niacinamide to the stack has made a lot of difference in eliminating my high histamine symptoms, such as itching, scalp inflammation, cold intolerance, brain fog, social anxiety, weak erections etc.
Some days I took 1000 mg and felt even better.
I wonder if this is due to the fungicidal action against candida albicans, against which its effectiveness is demonstrated by this study:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6443637/

As we read, the effective dose is 20 mM, which is approximately just under 3000 mg.
There are several testimonies of healing at this dose, which is the same one used by Dr. Hoffer, author of double-blind clinical studies on the effectiveness of niacin in the treatment of paranoid schizophrenia.

I still think that taking vitamin B1 in high doses is what allows the body to keep candida under control by stimulating the vagus nerve and stomach acid production and that's why I'm taking benfotiamine, but the process could be speeded up getting rid of candida via B3 at the indicated dose?
I want to try taking a megadose of 3000 mg of nicotinamide along with the tmg to prevent undermethylation and maybe a good dose of vitamin c as an antioxidant and laxative.
Has anyone already tried? I'll let you know the results in the next few days.

I tried this treatment for a week as promised at a dose of 3000 mg nicotinamide, together with 2 grams of vitamin C, 2 grams TMG and my usual supplementation.
I noticed slight benefits at the beginning of the day due to the antihistamine and anti-inflammatory effect of vitamin B3, even at lower doses, but towards the evening the benefits were annihilated by the great dizziness and dizziness, combined with great tiredness.
Thiamine is key for me.

I have a question: Is it a problem to take a high dose of niacin that is flush version? I have lost the mini spoon that comes with the product. So sometimes I end up taking almost a tea spoon of niacin. I don't know how much mg's that is.
