My pois experience with niacin and stomach problems.
« on: December 22, 2019, 09:58:38 AM »
Hey there, just wanted to share some things I've been monitoring lately.
My main problems after o are: joints pain, fatigue, headaches, moderate brain fog and cognitive issues, lack of motivation and bad mood.

1) Niacin have nothing to do with testicles arteries for me:
I 've been takin niacin almost on a daily basis for a last few weeks even without orgasm/ejaculation after. And it still helps me - my headache and brain fog which I often have after sleeping is going away when I take it and I have significant overall body tone boost. So at least in my case it probably have nothing to do with testicles.

2) I can pop niacin on a daily basis and still have a flush and all profits BUT!:
Only as long as my stomach and digestion work perfectly. It seems like I have some intollerance to preservatives and flavors cause every store meal is collapsing my digestion and make my belly swollen so I have to clean this sht out of me after by takin really big dosages of sorbents and purgatives for a few days ( so big that sometimes I barely can wake up for one day). When my stomach works bad niacin and some other drugs doesn't work so well. Also I can easily eat pasta and baked goods that are not meant to be stored for a long time when my stomach works good.

3) Swollen stomach causes my headaches and gives me overall tension. ( BTW heat gives me overall body tension too. Alongside with sort of headaches)

4) As I mentioned above niacin works for me on a daily basis so I even tried to have an o every day ( sometimes even twice) for a week- I had no significant problems after ( I also drank a lot of green tea , some coffee, ate chocolate and used GABA/antihistamines sometimes during this period to avoid "overactived/anxiety state" which so much coffeine and orgasms can put me in.) I also pop 5-htp from time to time but it don't gives me any significan benefits.

Sorry if my post feels messed up- just wanted to share observations on some things I saw discussed on this forum. Hope the one will find information above useful.

TL:DR
niacin makes me feel better with or without orgasm even taken on a daily basis if my stomach works well.
Store/preservated food makes my stomach swollen, worsens digestion, gives me headaches/ overall tension and reduces effects of many drugs.

Hi an-y-more, I have stomach issues too (small intestine actually) and POIS symptoms depend largely on how well my stomach feels or how well I've eaten. Niacin also greatly helps but unlike you I'm not able to take on a daily basis and maintain a flush (cycling works best for me).

It's strange how niacin can make it on a daily for one and don't for another.. Maybe you have problems with flavors/preservatives like me or some other meal issues affect ability of your gut to absorb?

P.s. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that gluten can remain in stomach for a weeks after you stop to consume it. In my case it's clearly takes time for stomach to get "cleared" after I pop something wrong- though gluten thing is probably not my case (cause I can consume non-preservated/overflavores meals) but maybe there's something else that stick the same way in stomach. I would've guessed that flatulence can play role too but not sure if it even possible for gases to prevent absorbing of a food or drugs  ;D

So lately I've been experiencing almost no flush after niacin sometimes but it still works for me. No pain in body and mind stays overall clear though I still can get headache, burning in head and brain fog if I:
1) Wash my hair with shampoo or face with anything but water (one time lately I did it a week after O and was surprisingly ok so guess it should work when I out of pois- will be checkin)
2) Eat white bread/pasta - not quite headache but noticeable changes in head tension. Uncomfortable enough and worsen my hearing of music. ( aslo gives me fatigue/thirst in the first days after o)
3) Eat anything off the shop with preservatives, flavors etc. E.g. last time I ate ketchup with pasta and hour later felt same as above tension in head, burning in head, light brain fog. Btw I took antihistamin not passing BBB and still felt a bit better.
4) Listen music with too much lows. Bass and especially too strongly kicking drums (under 80hz) gives me headache, burning in head, brain fog. So guess no punching in the head for me.
My current pre-pack is niacin, 5htp and sometimes cup of green tea.

P.s. Also I drink rose-hip ( dunno if it's right name in english) and it helps me alot when headache tryin to hit in. It can be used as diuretic which is good for head tension and also contain vitamins B, C, E, you name it. Seen as anti-inflammatory, choleretic, tone-up and more and more.
Dunno about that all but with headaches it deals perfectly in my case. I stopped takin in coffeine ( though still can drink green tea now and then) and jumped on rose-hip decoction and for now I feel better- no anxiety, clear music hearing, no head tension.
