Despite having this illness for a good five years now, I've unfortunately had very little time to test possible remedies. I'm a busy guy (soon-to-be gal), and when I'm not in the middle of a weeklong POIS episode, I just can't find the courage to risk another flare-up in case I'm needed somewhere.
My question to you guys is, how did you find that courage to test different remedies before finding the one that worked for you? Did you set aside entire weeks (a month?) to recover from episodes? How did you deal with the fear of missing out on something while you're sick?
I'm currently taking nanna1's POIS Cascade Stack (no climaxes yet), though I'd also like to try niacin and replicate his Excedrin trial someday. However, I just can't find the gumption when there's friends to meet up with, family to spend time with, sights to see, and hobbies to explore. POIS would mean having to set those aside for a week, which constitutes a long time for me.
