Is POIS a facet of the ASIA syndrome?
« on: February 11, 2015, 08:45:25 PM »
I have been reading the POIS forums for years with no contribution.  I've had POIS for about 30 years.

Recently my child had neurological problems which turned out to be post-vaccination ASIA.  All the problems vanished when the body burden of the inciting agent (aluminum) was reduced.

This reminded me of the fact that in my chase for getting better from POIS I found that I had high aluminum in my body (via a hair test).  Reducing aluminum did not improve much my condition, but is it reasonable to expect a big improvement after 30 years of illness that brought lots of other imbalances in my body?

So I would like to get out this hypothesis:  Could ASIA be the "umbrella" concept for POIS?

ASIA can be triggered by any vaccine adjuvant in susceptible people.  A good starting paper on ASIA is:

http://www.2ndchance.info/onesize4all-Perricone2013.pdf

Paris (prof Romain Gherardi), Tel Aviv (prof Yehuda Shoenfeld) or Rome seem to be the places where the concept of ASIA is being developed.  Nothing in the US (here vaccines are the holy cow).

Currently there is no test or solution for ASIA, but if somehow we can link POIS to ASIA then we could benefit from the research behind it.  I personally think that in the next 5-10 years ASIA will be one of the accepted explanations for the increase in autoimmune diseases and neurological problems.  Has ASIA been discussed in this forum? Can anyone think of a way to relate POIS and ASIA or is this a stupid idea?

Regards,

Dionysus

Thanks, dionysus.

Perhaps worth exploring!
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

I remember some soldiers with Gulf War Syndrome (part or linked to ASIA ) said they have post ejaculation symptoms, close to Pois.
Taurine = Anti-Pois
