I posted this in another sub-forum and got no response, so I thought I'd try it here.
I've been dealing with post orgasm agony for many years. For a long time, I thought it was low testosterone. I finally went to a doctor and explained my symptoms to him, and he seemed to think it would probably be low t as well. Well, I got my test results back and all my hormones are normal and I have no STDs. So, he wants me to see a urologist because he doesn't know what the issue is. The thing is, after more research, I found this forum and some documentaries on the subject, and I'm 99.9% positive that I have POIS.
Here is a list of my symptoms (onset is usually immediate, but can take two days to fully develop, and symptoms last 1-1.5 weeks):
-Anxiety
-Insecurity
-Easily Startled
-Fatigue
-Brain Fog
-Depression
-Irritability
-Testicle Soreness
Here is a list of things that I've found to help with my symptoms. (It was really strange finding this forum and seeing that these are pretty common in the treatment of POIS):
-Advil
-Fenugreek
-L-dopa
-Rest Ice and Elevation of the testicles
Things I'd like to try after finding this forum:
-Niacin
-Antihistamine
So, here's my dilemma and my question for you. I don't have a lot of money to be spending on doctors visits if they are not going to help me. Do you think I should see a urologist, or continue to self-medicate?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
