My Experience
« on: June 27, 2014, 11:36:17 AM »
Hello,
Hoping that it will be useful to someone, I would like to share my experience with you all.
I state that I suffer from testosterone below the normal levels and that my pois symptoms are flu-like only (strange?)
So, I noticed that after prolonged intake of Serenoa repens (2 or 3 months) flu symptoms seem to become milder. After the suspension for a few weeks, the symptoms increase, then become as strong as before after a couple of months of suspension.
I am sure you already know that saw palmetto is an inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase and its intake reduces the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone.
In my case, I can assure you that it is effective.

P.S. Is there anyone among you suffering from deficiency of testosterone that suffer flu-like symptoms like me, instead of mental symptoms?

Greetings

since you mentioned dihydrotestosterone. I have read it is the main factor in male baldness. Orgasm makes my hair fall. on many occasions, the next day of orgasm, my hair line recedes! when I don't have Orgasms, my hair is always fine.
POIS is my worst enemy

Thank You b_jim and Thank You Meha,

Thank you very much for your intervention. I think that we should not settle for a cure to decrease the symptoms but we have to go deep into the matter to resolve the issue and get back to have what all other human already have. And I think that the description of personal experiences can be crucial to a hunch by experts who can find a remedy. Moreover I think that, since it is a sexual problem, it is important to follow the the track of hormonal imbalances.
Greetings

Be very careful with 5 alpha reductase inhibitors!! Learn from the guys at PropeciaHelp.com, their lives have been made a living hell... much like POIS!
Affected since Sept 2008. Very gradual onset of symptoms: Testicular atrophy, low libido, brain fog, lethargy, depression, digestion issues. Worsening of all symptoms the 3-4 days post orgasm.

High levels or low levels of dihydrotestosterone make your hair fall out??
My POIS Symptoms:  Brain Fog, frustration, stuffed nose, anger, anxiety, intense hunger, low self esteem, swollen face, and feel zoned out.
