I've been in depression for about a month, since late December to very recently. I hadn't ejaculated or even masturbated during that time and yet, I was still depressed and unhappy. My doctor recently told me that POIS could possibly be reducing my levels of serotonin after ejaculation or just in general.
So I looked up ways to build up serotonin levels and two options popped up: L-Tryptophan and Rhodiola. I bought the 500mg NOW version of both from iHerb, but they're also available on Amazon.
So what I did was, I masturbated over the weekend - 3 days in a row, taking Niacin 250mg before hand, with no ejaculation. I edge only. And then I take L-Tryptophan before I sleep (it doesn't make me drowsy but it relaxes me) and then Rhodiola in the morning for the boost. And I've been feeling quite good after that... really good, to be honest.
Of course, it could be a combination of things, placebo effect, my general mood, the weather (which is getting better and sunnier). But so far, I'll be taking these and seeing how far they can take me. I'll report back every so often, but if anyone out there that's depressed and not taking anti-depression, check out these two pills. They're relatively safe, and with no side effects that I've read.
