Yeah, that's the same for me. We are coming into winter here and all the weather systems that pass aggravate everytihng.
WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

As a amatter of fact, the end of the winter is the worse period. POIS episodes could last so long that I would not recover from an episode before the next one arrived. This made me think that vitamin D deficiency could be involved (cofactor?).

winter makes my pois worse as well, but i think it's the cold dry air that affects me and not so much the lack of sunlight.
Taking ginger tea, no wheat, fenugreek+green tea/garlic, saw palmetto, niacin, boswellia, huperzine, B complex and nutmeg. See my treatment summary post for more info: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.msg3513#msg3513

The only logical reason for winter and longer pois that comes in my mind, is TO LESS OF VIT D !!

vit is 'made' by the body itself.  Needs sun or much daylight , in winter all people getting less vit D. vit D deficiency is related to prostata issues [cancer] and allergies. Google yourself, ok?

ask your doctor for a vitamin d test read my pois history in 'that familiar feel' for the minimal and maximum international standards of the results
4 years desensitized, health progr. average 70%  top 90%, ,overreaction stops 3X (herpes+meningeal irritation, sideeffects towards end ( hyperacusis), stopped at 4to1, retrograde after stop,re-entry soon. negative progesterone effect pois. . (new supervised med. trial planned soon) Niacin not tried
