Exposure to pre-ejaculate is driving me nuts
« on: March 17, 2019, 06:49:44 PM »
An erection for a few seconds can release a drop of pre-ejaculate which ruins my day. There is no build up of symptom intensity like orgasm. It's maxed out immediately. A second erection during the same day makes the reaction more aggressive. Symptom intensity correlates with the amount of fluid released and the duration of exposure. I can't fully avoid erections. This condition is utter madness, it's not only physical torture but mental torture as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-ejaculate

I guess I’m very lucky. Sorry to hear your experience, Muon!

There are others on this forum reacting to their pre-ejaculate, I'm not alone in this. Why didn't Waldinger mention this in his papers? I find this sloppy. Perhaps it's possible I have overlooked this when reading pois related papers but I can't find any info on this.

While I don't have POIS instantly after erection. Sustaining arousal does cause me mild POIS symptoms. Maybe desensitization caused you to be over reactive towards pre-cum?
As I previously mentioned. I think the substance that we are auto-immune towards is produced only during arousal and that's why we get POIS only during sexual activity and not all the time. If we can narrow down which of these substances get produced during arousal in the sexual glands we can potentially discover what we are auto-immunogenic towards.

It affects me aswell, it used to send me in full POIS mode but now it only induces irritability/bad mood and brain fog for a day.

Yes, me also. Pre-ejaculate gives me a mini-POIS episode that lasts roughly a day.

Same here. This is why it is sometimes difficult for me to say exactly when the POIS attack is gone. Say I am on day 4, feeling better, but then with some precum, I get mild symptoms again - it's then hard to tell if this is a continuation of the POIS cycle or a new mini precum episode.

Once a precum mini-episode starts, I would orgasm in the evening (if schedule allows), so that at least I know I am starting the full loop again.

Because he was focussed on the orgasm. For me just a little pre-ejaculate does not harm me much. But having sex or masturbate without ejaculation gives me more symptoms than after an orgasm.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

As you know, I’m not always fond of All Things Waldinger, but in fairness to our dearly departed friend, POIS was only a part-time venture for him. His main claim to fame was always Premature Ejaculation.

Arousal/precum release can increase my libido and when my libido increases it's easier to get aroused and more precum can be released in the same amount of time which lead to the increase of symptom intensity, which again drives my libido up and can eventually lead up to a slight burning feeling inside my head. I can fall into a downward spiral.

I had a couple of precum releases on 1 day. My urethra started to burn. Then my rectum started to burn, why my rectum? Then I got a continuous urge to pee while my bladder was empty, this will only stop when the urethra stops burning.

I feel like being dumped into an ocean of infinite size where you are trying to keep you head above the water the entire time waiting for your inevitable demise. Even when doing nothing all day which is most of the time it feels like a constant fight against nature.

Wow, Muon, I'm so sorry your symptoms are so bad, I can imagine what it feels like because I also get symptoms even just with sexual arousal, which is weird because being a woman there shouldn't be any precum being produced... Maybe the natural lubrication fluid is the culprit in my case? Anyway, my symptoms after arousal are mild and nothing compared to a full POIS episode, but as my POIS has been slowly but steadily getting worse with time, I'm really afraid that at some point in the future I might develop such a strong reaction to arousal as you have. Because if that's the case, considering the severity of my symptoms and my very high sex drive, I'm pretty much dead. I've had a fever as high as 40?C (104?F), and doctors were worried I might start convulsing.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I really hope we can find the cause someday. Wouldn't it be nice if it was something easily treatable like some kind of pathogen that was causing the issue... But I'm less and less hopeful every day.

I understand you perfectly brother, the same thing happens to me. I have pois only with pre-seminal. my life is a hell. I developed it in the last month and I'm dating. I do not know what to do. My girlfriend doesn't understand, I had explained about ejaculation. But now I will have to explain this. I have a hope with the batteries of Nanna 1. I will see.
I accompany you in feeling.

Same thing happens with me. I thought I am the only person in the world with this. Even slightest arousal and you see precum drops oozing out. Even talking to my crush does the same for me. It was very bad when I was 18, now I am 22 and has improved a lot. But my symptoms with precum are mild and yes depends directly on the amount of fluid released.

Symptoms from precum have also been very difficult for me to deal with. The effect seems to be relatively inconsistent. Prolonged intense arousal (>20 minutes) with substantial precum release is typically, though not always, equivalent to a POIS reset for me. With shorter arousal, its a coinflip. There have been times in the past when even one or two minutes of arousal have led to POIS. It's all very frustrating. Fortunately, I am extraordinarily lucky to not get wet dreams.

I know its been long since it was posted on this thread but even, I experience horrible symptoms with precum. I need some indicator or a blood test to tell my parents something is wrong. I am being redirected to psych every time I see an Endocrine or a Urology doc. By the way, people who did a skin prick test with a doc to check for semen allergy, how did it go ?

Try a cognitive test at the psych, it showed something was wrong with me.
