My case
« on: June 25, 2021, 08:46:23 AM »
Hello to you all,

I am new here. I've been checking this website for a few months now in the hopes of finding a definite solution. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 4 months ago. At the beginning, ejaculation made me feel weak for a day or two at best, but in the last two months, symptoms got worse, especially if it is masturbation (hardly ever). I went to my endocrinologist, where he checked me and gave me a list of tests to do: PRL, Testosterone, CRP, Vitamin D and a few others. My TsH is within range: 2.85, same for FT4 and FT3. However, my Prolactin was found to be higher than normal: 27.81. I also got a Vitamin D deficiency: 11.80. My doctor could not understand the reason behind my high Prolactin; he theorized that it might be due to a medicine, so he reduced my levothyroxine dose from 50mg to 37.5mg. His idea was that it may have been due to the direct escalation from 25mg to 50mg that my Prolactin surged. I've been taking the new dose for a week and a half now.

Yesterday, I had a wet dream. The latter became frequent as of late, approximately one every 14-15 days. You opinion will be much appreciated and that of the experts, if any. I would also like to know where is the research at at the moment. How close are we to finding a way: a year, 2, 3...

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Abdelkader!
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
