Rickets is a side effect of lack of vitamin D.
I think that anyone with POIS should supplement with ViT D and (magnesium for absorption) for atleast 6 months , and then keep an intense health and fitness regime as a BASE for a further 6mknths to then tackle POIS.
Can this be a simple single golden rule ?
Not saying it?s the only thing and the only cure .. but certainly something very very important?
I think I have had mild rickets or very faint rickets and the more i am taking vit D , in general the better the effect.
I know that my vit d was low .. it is going up , but has always been historically low, but been ignored.
It seems a no brainier to test your Vit D and supplement as something that will help in a v big way for everyone.
VitD helps sleep/testosterone/bones ..etc .. apparently it is not even really a vitamin , more like a pre-cursor hormone as far as I can tell ...
Again I am no doctor, but I think this is great advice and wish I did it from when I was 18 !!
I am plus 40 now .....
Am taking 2 thousand IU twice a day currently , going to increase to 6 thousand IU for a few months before getting another blood test and reducing it to a manageable level.
Just my thoughts.
